    Got to love those rocks. Lots of rocks. The spear aint bad either.

    Turn 3000: I like to move it move it.

    Turn 3074: Move on down towards our destination, though we may find from time to time complications (I9).

    Turn 3261: My shelter, my shield, my tower of strength.

    Turn 3400: The flags (rats) are coming down, there's a minimum of looting.

    Turn 3507: I've read it in books, who wants love?
    The spell breaks and the undead fall again. At the end of the day, forever victory.

    4011 - I think every single level I've played so far in this game has had a tension room. I11 does not disappoint.
    4028 - Swap to studded leather armor. It's the same except (-1, 0) instead of (-1, -1). UPGRADE. YEAH.
    4067 - Slaughter kobolds. MORE ROCKS!
    4118 - Study brass-bound tome. It's darkness. 66 castings 5pp.
    4189 - Studded gloves [+1, +2]
    4339 - Another spellbook of Darkness!
    4414 - Wererat appears and summons while I'm trying to read out one of the books.
    4435 - Level 7. Concentration x2, Athletics.
    4520 - Finally read it out.
    4570 - Descend. I12 also has a tension room! Wow!
    4653 - Trapped door destroys our sling. Sad.
    4784 - Open door on mixed tension room. Including a werewolf lord and a revenant!
    4812 - Revenants are more dangerous than I thought. Ow. Retreat time.
    4821 - Read blessed scroll of identify. Drink blessed potion of extra healing.
    4895 - Decide to try my luck with a few castings of destroy undead. Resists one, two more don't kill it. It descends with me.
    4934 - Of course, it's a river level. With no way back around the Revenant. Hmmm.
    4937 - Cursed potion of invisibility does nothing to affect the Revenant's eyesight.
    4938 - I equip another shield and attempt wait out turn on coward, but he's still hitting us! I dive into the water:

    I cast Slow Poison twice, then wait the rest of the turn on the other side of the river.
    Revenant is in the corridor leading to the up stairs, not that you'd be going back there.

    Looks like I'm back in business (until I die, that's it). Sorry for misunderstanding Grey.

    Well, descended a couple of times, lost several pets and acquired several new ones.

    At I25 I opened a door to a huge ghost tension room. There were 2 unexplored paths and I knew I had only 1 chance. Chose the upper one and of course there's a dead end. Shit. I ran so fast and left my 2 pets behind, so fighting back (well, it will be the same with them) was out of question. You just can't hit a monster with a rock when it's in the wall. Desperately decided to check whether we have digging.

    We had only 2 scrolls and they were not stacked. The 1st one appeared to be ID. Hehe. I used it on our wands and voila - a digging wand with 5 charges. How convenient. I dig down and found a staircase. Feeling confident I even went and killed several ghosts and then our food somehow ended. So I descended.

    I26 featured a long corridor to another staircase and a dopple who left a corpse.

    I descended to I27, waited till we were Starving (happened about 8998) and munched myself. I also drank 2 unID'd potions before this (potential Le and potential St).

    There's a tension room on the level and I have a strong feeling that we are just facing it.

    I'd like to say it was intentionally chaotic play, but...

    6081 - Another mirror room. We're now even less perceptive.
    6493 - Eat a fire beetle corpse. We *might* be fire resistant.
    6499 - Descend into a mud room. PRETTY!
    6502 - Level 8. Healing x3.
    6610 - Vortex explodes on me in the dark. I thought they weren't meant to do that?
    6653 - Shit, a will'o'wisp. I've recently learnt they're dangerous.
    6688 - Descend to run from it. Equip a cursed strange metal girdle. Can't remember what they are, greed?
    6726 - Ow, fire drake. Swap with raccoon and close a door to heal up.

    Spent a while trying to heal up, opened door and a few ghuls trickle through
    Nothing our bow and arrow can't handle..
    Finally run into the necromancer and quickly kill him
    Kill all of his summons too
    Theres a room full of green snakes I decide to avoid because I dislike poison
    Descend
    Explore I8 find stairs decide to explore the rest of the level
    Werewolf summons, I kill him and most of its summons
    Level up, Healing x2 and two weapon combat
    Turns ends with me wounding a dire wolf
    Recently ate two dire wolf corpses and I know nothing else about the level except that the door to the left is locked.

    Heh, no worries - back to barding!

    I note we're level 10 and now on I27. Should be fun! I drop some items to get unburdened, and out of paranoia use up a charge of monster detection. Haha, _Ln_ was right - threat room is next door, and it has a werewolf king in it. There's also a dark elven princess in the far corner of the level... Ah feck.

    I use the wand of digging to avoid the threat room, tame a wolf, and starting pushing it down the corridor to where I know the spider factory is lying in wait. When I get there I start playing my tunes, but the princess just tears through her summons with ease. I close a couple of doors and run away, and use the wand of digging to get to the opposite corner.

    Find a carrot room - +5 Pe! Hmm, only way forwards is through a flashtrapped door or the spiders. I kick the door and get blinded for a long time, becoming Hungry! in the process. I drink a purple potion - "you feel more vigorous". Not sure what that means...

    Hmm, turns out the spidey factory was behind that door too. Stairs must be in the bottom corner. Just need to avoid the princess... I use 2 more charges of the wand of digging (now down to 0) to get around to the stairs through the back. Find an iron ration and descend with 2 spider pets on turn 9431.

    Eat a spider corpse and get poison resistance for definite. Kill a caveman with thrown rocks and eat his corpse.

    Argh! Run into ANOTHER spider factory, and this time with a black wizard in cahoots! I close a door and start playing on my flute. Does music travel through walls...? I open up the door and see the room in chaos - it seems music works wonderfully from behind doors. But the priestess is still too strong, and the black wizard calls up some more creeps (thankfully weak stuff), so I back the hell off and close some doors behind me.

    But the priestess comes chasing... I manage to get a spider to distract whilst I pelt her dead with rocks. I go back to deal with the wizard, finding an iron ration on my way, but my turns run out.

    I've not seen the wizzy in a while, so he might've been killed by some of my kamikaze spiders. I saw him summon homonculi, golbins, gibbering mouthers and black hurthlings, so not much to worry about.

    I lived.

    Descending was surprisingly easy - I dodged an elven lord and well.. that's all I had to dodge.

    Started exploring the next level. There's a tension room somewhere, so I used monster detection to get the hold of who's where. Wand's wasted. Apparently there is a fire giant and a tension room of ogres with an ogre magus.

    Then - yay, a booby-trapped door is the only exit. I decided that 84 hp is not enough on almost I30 and wrenched last charge of digging wand. Whoops, no more digging. I had to go to the fire giant in search of staircase, but no luck there. He killed off my 2 pets and hammered my brain with a rock, I ran and closed all doors.

    So, it's me killing off all ogres or fire giant finding me. Tough battle for me.
    All in all it went well, magus only managed to fire a single frost bolt at me for ~quarter of our health and fell to 4 rocks. Other ogres followed, several were generous to leave a corpse and 1 corpse was generous to give +1St. I dunno what fire giant was doing, but not following us.

    I decided to rest on the staircase (for about 50 turns) and we still are there. If you're interested, where the booby door is - first an orc tried to open it and got fried then an ogre bashed it down - I witnessed it and it was kinda funny. Switched metal cap for adamantium cap. Food situation is ok, we are very close (according to my calculations) to Satiated and there's someone's corpse in the inventory.
