    Hmm, elf barb, cool... I'm fed up with these no healing characters though.

    I explore the rest of the level and a blink dog appears. Level 5 - Dodge x2, Athletics, First Aid. Get a corpse and eat it. Level 6 - Athletics, First Aid, Stealth x 2, Very Quick talent. We have mighty blows!

    Descend on 1512. River, but stairs are this side. Descend on 1706. Find spare short bow and arrows and lots of food. Descend on 1821. Equip black helmet - 6 PV now.

    Nearing the end of my turn I decide to pray to leave the char on full health. I pray a second time for good measure but it remains unheard

    Yep, I died because throughout my turn I had been bookcasting darkness out of reflex just to improve learning and concentration. Well after descending I see a hill orc sergeant and, forgetting that orcs can see in darkness, bookcast it. Well it killed me in 1 turn, hitting me about 3 times before stunning me, and killing me with a final blow. Didn't even have a chance to pray. =/

    Conundrum vs Zsomkovacs

    Salamander-born Drakish bard.

    Never really played a bard properly, and this one didn't even get 3 talents for 7LB!
    Let's see what happens.
    Oh, no healing either. Wooo.

    381 - I1 cleared, giant lizard looks more powerful. Descend.
    399 - Level 2. Alertness, Food Pres, Dodge, First Aid, Music. Sensing tension.
    682 - Milk a spear from a scorcher. Slightly better than our scimitar.
    730 - Open door onto absolutely massive tension room of kobolds. This should be good.
    823 - Clearing kobold room, lizard levels up twice before the chieftain takes him from slightly injured to dead in one hit.
    832 - Finish off the chieftain with scurgari. During clearing, reach level 3.
    Dodge, First Aid, Food Pres, Music, Swimming.. Talent Tough Skin.
    Loot a short bow for my troubles, as well as some rocks and arrows.
    999 - Descend.
    1000 - Save.

    descend, find some spiderz, install -pois, level, pump the
    listening skill, eventually go to 5HP's, and pass the save.
    we have plenty of food, but remaining spiders as well. I
    don't know how many. they are to the east rooms for sure,
    at least 1 in both upper and lower east hallways. it is
    possible that they are even infesting that unexplored
    hallway directly to the PC's NW as well. you prolly don't
    want them to get behind you. i killed the summoner though,
    so all you have to do is survive the left-overs.

    5 HP? Very handy - gives me the Coward movement bonus.

    Kill some spiders, make it to the stairs. Camp there till a berserker comes along and descend on turn 3426. Eat a dog. Since we have plenty of food I rest up a bit to heal. Turn over!
