how about natural disasters in JADE - the recent earthquake here in NJ made me think - what if there was a small chance on any level that an earthquake affect the level - or if there is a river that it floods causing the level to fill with water.

volcanoes erupting, avalanches, an extremely high level wizard might be able to bring this sort of thing about (saurumon), or pissing of the gods too i guess

a crowned champion does something really out of character (killing and eating a cute dog and its owner?) and the hround opens up and swallows him that'd rule
