    Default weapon stats

What does [x2] on a weapon do?

(found one "deadly" weapon now, it had [x3])

And is there any advantage to piercing / slashing / blunt damage?
You steal a scroll labelled HITME. The orc hits you.

    It's the critical hit multiplier.

None yet that I know of, but TB wrote in his blog that various undead will be more noticeably resistat to different attack types (like skeletons and piercing).
You hit Andor Drakon, the ElDeR cHaOs GoD, and severely wound him.
The greater balor summons some help!
The ratling duelist disarms you. You drop your blessed Trident of the Red Rooster (+36, 6d12+18) [+12, +12]. It flies to the west.

Andor Drakon, the ElDeR cHaOs GoD, wields the blessed Trident of the Red Rooster (+36, 6d12+18) [+12, +12].

it's the critical multiplier, so a deadly weapon would deal 3x damage with a crit. I don't think there's difference between damage types yet, but they will come in the next version. Check the following link for that:
