    nice job, bad we still have overplay.

    Next to Molach: to 6000limit if possible.
    So far rolled 15 casters with RoDS and shamelessly killed them within 200 turns. For eternium glory!
    (after 15 I stopped counting...)

    i'm done being emo about it, and you'd be right about the above; any other race than hurthling and we'd have a hard time. But sticking on ID:1 while milking goblin rockthrowers for ammo for a few xp levels and we'd have gained enough pp to start training it. Besides, i consider potent aura to be the lvl 3 talent choice for this r/c but i would've chosen alert and fey in this case.

    Besides, i was looking forward to solving sticky situations using novel options, and without TH some options will not appear.

    i'm not just a n00b orcish barbarian user.

    Since i did not mentioned in opening:
    Mindcraft does not train Mana. Mindcraft does not increase it is efficiency by using it.

    Without TH we will get slightly fewer items - that says nothing about the options that will or will not appear. I agree that hurthling rocks are very powerful, but on level 1 anything can happen and everything is important. If you meet a strong monster, like kobold chieftain before you find rocks, and get trapped, Confusion Blast is the difference between life and death.

    I apologize for the orcish barbarian comment; it was an unnecessary reaction. I hope you'll find this league exciting enough even without Treasure Hunter once it's your turn

    in favor of the TH talent, and I think it's valuable
    in this challenge. If they don't appreciate your
    wizdom in this bastardized excuse for a League,
    you are more than welcome in the noble Water
    League.

    Got the save. Thinking for a while now...

    ...

    Short version:
    Got some weapon and shield marks. Upgraded spear from (+1,1d8) to (+1,1d8+2) wooden shield [3,1] to tower shield [7,0] girdle from nothing to St+1. All uncursed. Got two levels, 11 now. Descended to ID6, finished it, did half of ID7, had to flee, have done about half of ID Food situation was stabilized, we have food and are pretty satiated. I think. HP were lost to skeleton/zombies and fireball trap door. Low skill gains, and just 1 st potential for stats.

    Low and boring version:
    ID 5
    4011 - decide to do a quick sweep of the level. See a large kobold. Confuse him, try to melee but doing no damage. Mind blast him. Hungry, eat the Iron ration. Food is actually critical now. Spot a fire vortex incoming, so I go down stairs instead.

    ID 6
    4062 Giant centipede melee'd, sadly no corpse.
    4073 Giant rat melee'd. No corpse.
    4109 Hobgoblin chief blasted, tower shield (150s). Is 7,0 better than 3,1 for us? I'll think on it.
    4116 Down stairs spotted, hell hound in the room.
    4192 Bugbear and Lizardman Conf-melee'd, NO CORPSE.
    4215 Find leather girdle (15s) on floor. Should be of strength or carrying. Decide to try it out. Uncursed (or blessed) of St+1.
    4239 Kill berserker, find quarrels and an Iron ration (tm). Eat it, as it was making me strained.
    4285 Get cornered between wererat (I let it summon) and a hill orc. It throws spear, I pick it up. Mind blast orc. No corpse. Wield spear, it is 1d8+2, drop two of the spares (sic). Decide that my tower shield might be wielded if I get above +3 shield skill. Kill off rats.

    Level 10 - Archery, Climbing, First Aid, Cookin' x 2.

    Polearm level 4. ONE single regular rat corpse. Manage to lure wererat a while, and get him to summon a flock again. This time one giant rat drops. Cook and save it. Also found two large rations, ate them. Carrying a regular rat corpse to train food pres, cooked giant rat is our backup food. Along with fortune cookie and 9 bones.
    4495 Troll blasted, no corpse. Drop robe to not be strained.
    4578 Giant Lizard melee'd and drops corpse. Cooked and eaten. Finally satiated.
    4676 Level explored, heading back. Jackalwere killed along with hell hound. We need food pres. over 60 to increase corpse drops...find orange potion, keep ready for carrot room...
    4930 Shadow! Stone it to death. Also some minor mobs, so minor that I do not even confuse them, to get more shield marks. Find iron amulet...life saving?
    5034 Descend. Nothing more here...

    ID 7
    5058 Giant spider - sadly no corpse.
    5125 Pole arms level 5, large ration, 5 bones.
    5140 Downstairs located.
    5212 Milk a rockthrower a bit. Drop our 825 gold...also drop "stash" some large rations and rocks on downstairs. Memo to self-pick them up before descent.
    5426 Locked door. Kick. Lucky: No trap. Unlucky: The necromancers summons some help! I get overwhelmed, and pushed back in the level. He summons a flock of ghuls...decide to fall back to

    ID 8
    5704 Stash some items by upstair while exploring burdened. I sense a certain tension. Shield skill is +3 by the way. A random lizardman gives me level 11...

    Level 11. Food preservation x5, to 56. Get it to 60 next time, I hope. Feel good about ST potential.

    5794 Downstairs located, and right after a mixed tension room. Black wizard, dark elven lord. Blast twice, take out wizard. Dark elf lord close, but confuse him. Leave to regain PPs. When PP are full I face him down. One confuse hit, two blasts are resisted. Damn.
    5898 Locate a fireball trapdoor. 14 HPs. Running in circles from elf lord, but now he resists confusion too.
    5933 Confuse him to keep him distant, then throw rocks on him till he dies. Whew.
    6000. You are below starting stairs. East of them are arrows, quarrels, rocks (a few single shots), large rations and wooden shield. Pick and choose. There was a Gargoyle or margoyle in the tension room, nothing else too difficult. Chaos brother, so we took some corruption.
