If you create a closed door on the proper square,
the arena master will teleport you on top of it,
which is the only way to stand on top of a door in
    ADOM.
"Whip me!" pleads the adom player. The rng replies... "No."

I tested the Berserking thing by equipping Shezestriakis, blessing them,
then checking my stats, then equipping my normal elemental gauntlets
    and checking my stats again.

    Sheze:
Normal stance: +9 hit, 40 DV
    Berserking (+9 hit, +10 damage, -17 DV)

    Elemental:
Normal stance: +23 hit, 25 DV
    Berserking (+17 hit, +10 damage, -12 DV)
    Easy to disprove:
    Hurthling healer:
Normal: Right hand: -1 bonus to hit, 1d3-1 damage, 15 DV
Berserk: Right hand: +4 bonus to hit, 1d3+3 damage, 6 DV (+5 to hit, +4 to damage, -9 DV)

Hm, I wonder what it is then. Maybe a percentage with a lower bound
    or something?
    Code:
    Really kick the child? [y/N]

    ....t.....

    > I tested the Berserking thing by equipping Shezestriakis,

You mean berserk tactic, or true berserking? Gauntlets
    won't allow true berserking.

    > Sheze:
    > Normal stance: +9 hit, 40 DV
    > Berserking (+9 hit, +10 damage, -17 DV)

Gotta be something wrong there. Switching to berserk
    will always increase to-hit.

    > Elemental:
    > Normal stance: +23 hit, 25 DV
    > Berserking (+17 hit, +10 damage, -12 DV)

I loaded a few previous saves from different stages
in the game, and it seems that the ~half rule does
apply for all my PC's that don't have the 'tactics'
skill, which is most of them.

    > Maybe a percentage with a lower bound or something?

I believe so. I rolled a few PC's and they all had
a DV penalty of 9 execpt for the higher DV PC's,
which had -10, and and the lower DV PC's, which
    had -8.

You don't understand the tactics display. Those numbers are RELATIVE. If you normally have +9 hit and 40 DV, then with "Berserk (+9 hit, +10 damage, -17 DV)" you now have +18 hit and 23 DV.

I understand tactics display in the game, but I didn't
understand it the way it was printed. My goof.

On a seperate note, I just discovered that dwarftown
dwarves can be sacced on altars not from dwarftown.
    Waldy is saccable in dt.

Herbs can be burnt by acid balls. And fire ones. But bolts don't seem to do anything

If you kick down a door, and then use a wand of trap creation on that square, a trapped door will reappear rather than a regular trap.
Hoping to win with every class, doomed. Archer, Barbarian, Bard, Beastfighter, Druid, Elementalist, Farmer, Fighter, Monk, and ULE Priest down.
