Completing the druid quest always moves your alignment toward neutral. If you are lawful, it counts as a chaotic act to complete it.
Hoping to win with every class, doomed. Archer, Barbarian, Bard, Beastfighter, Druid, Elementalist, Farmer, Fighter, Monk, and ULE Priest down.
That's nothing new. Was at N+, took me to N= which is whatever, going to try for a neutral crowning in any case. The message is just funny and maybe could do with some kind of special output.
Something I had yesterday on climbing down some stairs:
"You sense an imminent and blood-chilling threat! You climb down the stairs..."
I assumed a named monster had spawned on the level just as I left, but I actually found it on the level I descended to. I guess the message comes as the monsters for the new level are being generated, but the order seems wrong - whenever I sense an imminent and blood-chilling threat I tend to run the other way rather than carrying on as I was going to anyway.

I once had the following exchange while descending to the level below the Casino:
You climb downwards... (more)
You sense imminent danger... (more)
...but the feeling passes. (more)
You sense imminent danger... (more)
...but the feeling passes. (more)
There is a stair leading upwards here.
"And light there be!"
When you step into SMC for the first time, some monsters (maybe everyone) appear neutral, but turn hostile right after you move from stair. Do not know is the Stealth skill matters.
One can easily (in about 90% of cases) leave SMC if there are monsters near stair and then return, since neutral monsters prefer to leave char in wilderness. That helps a lot then trying to generate SMC with lvl 1 char.
I'm sure some of you know this, but the glowing balls spell of monsters (like Keethrax & liches) targets like a missile...exactly like a missile. This can be exploited (or happen totally by accident) so that a spell aimed at you hits a creature in front of you, for instance (Keethrax on the right):
I'd known that undiggable walls were untraversable by ghosts, etc. but I hadn't though about the ramifications until I accidentally used on in the Earth Temple—having your back to an undiggable wall means you can only be surrounded on 5 sides instead of 8 there (if you plan it right, you can probably get it to less since there's probably a corner of undiggable walls where you can chill);Code:######### .....@... .@f###### ...# ...# ######### .....@... .@*###### ...# ...# ######### .....@... .@.###### ...# ...#

anyone seen this message "You feel observed by some mighty entity" ?
I found out yesterday that high Willpower helps you resist PP draining attacks.
