Okay, I'll give those a shot! Starting with the Priest!

    Wish me luck!

DE Priest met a Lightning Vortex.

    DE Ranger will be next.

Kinda liked the Priest's Detect Items(?). And magic was okay, but only found one damaging spell.

Question! Do I Dual Wield with the Ranger?

    Or Shield+Whatever?

Where could you find that vortex so early?
Detect item status is good to check each weapon or armor you find without fearing to get stuck with it and find something better than average.
The only time I played ranger, I dual-wielded spears, but I am not sure if it's ideal.

Well, I was level 12 at least, but was in the UD:3? I think. Boom!

I will definitely give the DE Priest another shot sometime, but gonna try these other guys first.

    Thanks!

You could give weaponsmiths a try - A Candle or Book-born one would be best. Elven weaponsmiths start with that fabulous chain mail, and all weaponsmiths start with at least 16 strength, even hurthlings. They have guaranteed Find Weakness and Concentration, though they'll only cast spells late in the game. Smithing is also fun if you've never tried it, and Weaponsmiths make it easy.

Definitely sword and shield with the ranger. Also make use of your archery skill!

Edit: Dont forget Delf Rangers also have find weakness and food preservation. Both incredibly useful. I swear they have the best skill set >_>

    Sword? Are you sane?
Either than he found something like sword of sharpness or Kinslayer, polearms are way better both in damage and in DV bonus.

Kinslayer's crowning-only for Assassins and Necromancers. Which is kind of a shame, because it's my favorite one-handed weapon in the game, even though it's not as good as Executor.
