Ah, I do have a waterproof blanket! 2 Actually!

Now hmm.... I assume my dagger of phasing could hurt dragon turtles?

But last time I went to the water dragon place, I couldn't pick anything up! I think the Dragon was yelling at me. Not even an apple or melon or something one of the monsters dropped.

I did go to the Mystic Room, but she did not give me any scrolls, just a potion of Gain Attributes! Am I out of luck Re: Corruption? If so I'd better hurry right!

Also, I got the scroll from the village and used it on my dark aura. So now I have 2 corruptions, but not dark aura.

OH! Do Turtle Dragons count as Dragons? If so I've got a half dozen Dragon Slaying arrows! Or should I save them for Blup's Mom?

EDIT: Thanks for the help guys! I could never make it this far without you!

Oh BTW: I just found out what Mana Battery did the hard way lol. But it was a wand of Ball Lightning and I don't like those anyway.
(used one earlier and it decided to bounce back and forth in the walls of a hallway zapping me a whole bunch!)

Blup's mom will kill you. She is a tough fight for characters above level 40, especially if you don't use darkness. 6 arrows isn't nearly enough. Also, dragon slaying ammo is bad to use in the WDC because you can't retrieve it without angering Blup's mom. You can probably kill dragon turtles with your dagger, but they're still dangerous because they can do over 200 damage easily with water breath. Also phase daggers are iron and will rust if you haven't taken precautions. The ACW is a good place to use your dragon slayers.

Well! I went to the High King's Place and found a cursed FireProof Blanket! I still couldn't cross the water, but more to follow!
I went to Blup's mom's place with a water breathing helmet, but none of the items in her place had unusual names or very low weight or matched the List I got from JellySlayer!

So I didn't pick anything up!

On the other hand, I finished the arena! Got some decent money out of it, which will go towards my Crowning! ALSO, and I'm dumb I know lol, I put an Eternium Warhammer of the Void (good I hope!) in the Ogre Cave way back in case I was gonna smith and needed a hammer!

On the other hand, yep you got it right, I rusted my phase dagger :/ But I have another one!

Oh! In the Big Room get this! I eat a Blink Dog, then right away a pixie shows up and I eat it! Now I teleport at random times but to a place I choose! Very Good!

So.... gonna bless that fireproof blanket, then try to tackle the Fire Tower!

But wait! Won't my Bow Burn Up? Are there metal bows to be found? Or anything I can do? I assume my bow is made of wood!

Also! I found a strange shield in the High King's place. I left it there, but it weighed about 210s and when on the ground it made the square black! Just Black, no item picture or anything. I found it by noticing the absence of a white dot! Any ideas what it might be? It was kinda heavy so I left it behind!

I have not attacked Blup's Mom! So I'm sitting good for now!

Oh yeah, still have those corruptions. Guess I'm outta luck? None from mystic, and used up one from village!

    Thanks!

Just to warn you, that list isn't exhaustive when it comes to items that don't include weapons... There are some good armors and shields that may weigh over 70s, and potions, wands, etc. are all obviously under 70s. If you're early in the game, I think it goes without saying that you should take whatever you can get. What I gave there was mostly just a quick rule of thumb way of figuring out which weapons are likely to be good if you've got a big pile of high-end gear.

Case in point: The shield you found was a large crystal shield. It's stats are around [+11,+2], which is pretty decent. Tower crystal shields are 260s and are typically [+13,+4], which is comparable to an eternium tower shield (though eternium is only 70s), and is about as good as you can find in a non-artifact.

For bows, here's what I suggest. First, leave it in inventory until you need it. Only equip when you're about to shoot. Second, you might want to head into the wilderness and find a barbarian tribe. Kill them and you should be able to get 8-10 trash bows that you can burn through if you need to.

[edit]For corruptions, there are two more stashes of SoCRs available. To get one set, you need 100 climbing and 100 stealth (if you don't have stealth, you can get it for 4500 gold at the thieves' guild). The other set is accessible via the Bug Infested Temple north of the CoC. This is a very dangerous area for a non-caster, and should really only be used as a last resort. Otherwise, yeah, you're stuck with what you've got unless you get lucky and find a wish or something.

Dang! Died to a Fire Elemental (But Really to a Fire Giant King) I got stuck between the two, and could not really harm either!
Teaches me to use a weapon I'm not highly skilled with!
And yet again, Stopped at level 20! Gah!

Ah well! Fighter was fun, but the lack of options! (Re: Finding a good weapon, weight, finding a way to cross the water, etc.)
    Not sure what's next.

    Wish me luck! Thanks Jelly!

I wouldn't consider levels to be as important as the farthest you've gotten within a dungeon, or which boss you've killed. Haven't you reached the Casino?

Have you tried a mindcrafter? They're... very different to play. Drake is probably good because you're a little weak to start.

High/Gray Elf priests can actually make a pretty decent go of it early on. You'll start with decent armor and stats, maybe a healing spell if you're lucky, plus a decent weapon, bow and arrows.

For something a little different, consider a hurthling bard. Take Charming, Boon to Family, and Heir for your starting talents, to earn the best boots in the game. Head over to PC:2 right away and use music to tame some ants (stay in coward, don't let them get next to you... you are much faster than they are). Bring them up to PC:1 and let them dig out some rocks for you. Use your super speed to hit-and-run thrown rocks until you've gained a couple levels.

Ha! That is just being silly gut! I actually tried a few MindCrafters I did not tell you guys about! I kind of like them, but I don't really get it! Oh hey, look, a rabid dog I'll just confuse him and wha-?

Same goes for the worst enemies in the game! Worms and Spiders!

Oh Jelly sometimes you read my mind! The Hurthling Bard is probably the most common kind of Bard I have tried! I just really like the idea! Currently, I am on a "Different" Character who I will give a shot, then it's time for Slayer 5!

This guy, he is a Brute. Kinda dumb, but 20 St, 21 Wi, and 16 To to Start! (He's human) I think he cut class early to go break rocks with his forehead or something! Not nearly as pretty as Slayer 3, who at the end had 20 Ap! Prettiest human ever!

But yeah, gonna try something....not sure what.

Oh, and the thing about level 20! It's not that I think Char Level is great and all! But at this point it is just a tease! I want to beat this random hurtle thrown at me!

    Thanks everybody!

Grey elf bard is cool to try for the weird pet they start with. Gnome bards have perhaps the most useful starting pet (it can mine for gems) whilst also having the best chance for maximum starting talents (perfect for nabbing their Heir gift). Bards can be tough though, with a lot of their potential determined by their random starting skills. There's a Bard Guide I wrote long ago here if you're interested in mastering them:

    http://adom.brinkster.net/forum/mess...ge=1&tmp=61395

It gets quite spoily in places though, so you might want to avoid for now.

Give a dwarf or orc paladin a serious go. Maybe try starting off with a UD run for excitement's sake (go straight to the small cave and dive down to the HMV - it weeds out weaker characters, whilst rewarding strong chars with usually quite good equipment finds).
