Key Mapping Issues

I'm editing the keys in the 'custom key map', but I keep getting errors about 'invalid configuration option: (unbound)'.

What steps do I take to edit the key map w/o getting errors?
Does what I put in 'unbound' even matter?

This is incredibly late, but in case others have this problem: I think this is caused by unbinding keys and not putting them in the list of unbound keys.
