Beastfighters have an easy time raising their climbing skill to 100 and it doesn't take too long before they're strong enough to tackle the monsters there, so if you insist on trying for an archbeastfighter I think the faster way is probably to do restarts and library runs until you luck out.

create a banshee cage in the animated forest, and yes, you will have to wish up a banshee to put in it.

They're very likely to explode (other spellbooks are the most common items in the "book" category). If not, you'll get tracts or the Confucious book.

Yes, there's only one item called "spellbook". They have an additional descriptor that defines which spell they teach you. That's why they're all DL1.
