    Default Brimstone victory by gutt

Started a brimstone running gnome elementalist on the server. Used the autoroller to get
Wi:15 and To:15 for immune to pain availability, and Ma:18 for the extra talent. TF:1 had
a nice red dragon that dropped bracers of war, which is basically what made this victory
possible. This was not the 'wuss' version that allows healing in the wilderness. Altar on
TF:1 also made things really easy and convenient. I gathered xp until I was xl 20, then
crowned with the cloak of brinalbin, then dug my way to the ACW. I took the upper
route through the temple, so I could kill all the grues for xp before fighting the ACW. I
lured the ACW out of the temple area and killed him via frost bolts from beyond my line
of sight. He only confused me once, despite my lack of confusion resistance, but his
energy rays required me to pray numerous times.

On the way back from the tower, I found myself 'hungry' and didn't really know if it
was considered OK to enter a wilderness location to pray for food (I had no non-prayer
food on me). Fortunately, a swamp undead ambush solved the problem for me. "I
couldn't avoid the ambush, so it is OK to pray while I'm here...". Well, I'm
    counting it as valid anyway

    YOUR HISTORY:
Your parents belong to the nobility. They are rich, respected,
wealthy and own more than they can count.
As a child your parents cared a lot for you. Despite all
circumstances you enjoyed a happy and fine childhood.
In your youth you enjoyed competition against others to the
fullest. You were a very active kid.
Your path was always clearly lying before you. You knew about your
destiny since your earliest years and fortunately your grandfather
supported your wishes. You managed to find a competent trainer and began
     your studies.
You decided to become a Elementalist.

Congrats! I think this is the first Brimstone victory without abusing bugs, since others had used piety scumming or dragon gold doubling. Awesome!

no ttr's, unfortunately. they eat too much space on the server, so they are disabled by default.
I could have enabled them for the final fight, but was too eager to get on with the fight to be
    distracted.

Wow, I thought for sure you'd have taken Treasure Hunter for this challenge game. I still can't believe this challenge game is even possible. And without bugs. Amazing.

Treasure Hunter is no use in a challenge with few kills. Particularly when it takes away from nigh essential stuff like Immune to Pain.

heh, yeah. Was joking about TH. I think we're all very well aware of everyone's thoughts on that talent. BTW Grey, I enjoyed this episode a lot. Have you ever played Pokémon Mystery Dungeon? I have a friend I was trying to get to play ADOM and when I described it as a roguelike he mentioned that he'd played one. And it's Pokémon. I don't know. I read about it a bit. Not sure it's a "Roguelike™" according to some definitions, though.

I've seen Pokemon Mystery Dungeon. It is indeed a roguelike, but with fairly soft penalties for death. Something accessible for kids though if you ever want to get a youngster into roguelikes (you can then proceed them onto Shiren the Wanderer quite easily, which is much more hardcore).

Glad you liked the VI episode. It was something quite special to put together.
