Default Roguelike of the Year 2012 poll

Every year there is a poll for the most loved roguelikes of the year hosted by ASCII Dreams. To qualify a game must have had an update within the last 12 months. Most of the best roguelikes have won or come near the top of the poll in the past, with a notable exception being ADOM, since it's had no recent releases. ...Until this year.

For the inaugral appearance of ADOM on the ASCII Dreams Roguelike of the Year poll... who else thinks it should rate pretty damned highly?

    Here's the link:

Note that you can (and should) vote for more than one game. It's not just a popularity contest, it's a way of highlighting all the cool roguelikes you've enjoyed this year, and afterwards the community can pick through the results for hidden gems.

I'll bet grey voted for TOME4! Just look at the headstart they have on us:

I was sorely tempted to vote several dozen times to make up for Grey's
obvious traitorous activities, but somehow restrained myself.

EDIT: BOTH adoms should be ahead of that upstart, TOME!

That's a nice drama around that poll, good popcorn stuff. Should anyone even bother voting there and how is including link to post in the latest update worse than mailing announcement (which really mmm.. disappointed me)?
I like my women like my ADOM loot - hunted as treasure and in extra quantity.

Yeah, I don't get the reaction, and it's put a bit of a sour atmosphere on the poll now. Which is a shame, because I was looking forward to seeing a good duking out between ADOM and ToME.

    > Not really Darren. After Andrew basically accused Darkgod of cheating

This seemed to appear out of nowhere. Did I miss a post?
Someone thinks a rl programmer would cheat to obtain a .PNG banner?

EDIT: Wait, there is a rl named GUTS! ? How is it that I was not informed of this? I must go dl GUTS! now

I saw the blog posts. He's taking this poll super seriously. You guys are friends, right Grey? I mean, I hear you guys on RLRadio all the time. You guys gonna talk about this poll and his feeling about ToME on RLRadio after this?

I presume so. I don't know why he's taking it so seriously. It could be he's got other things going on in life that have him in a bad mood. I've not been able to properly catch up with him to discuss yet.

I really didn't think either that nor Thomas advertising to the indiegogo list was a big deal. On the other hand it's lame if ToME just wins every year.

Doh, we are losing again. If only ADoM had more than 900 players!
