Fastest in terms of turns would be bookcasting a healing spell on an injured companion. This is 6 stones per heal. Companion can be safely damaged using ice queen, tower, or water dragon cave. But you probably didn't get the luck required to do this on mindcrafter.

Fastest real-time might be using whip of slaughtering in the wilderness in conjunction with magic regen. This is 1 stone per 5 damage taken. Assuming a minimum PV of 10, this would cost you around 3000 turns and 100 days of in-game time, but only 10 minutes of your life.

Feeding beggars stomafilia can also work. This is 2 stones per blessed stomafilia, though higher quantities of lesser food will also give alignment.

What about sacrificing small amounts of gold at L altars?

would it be more beneficial to sac small amounts of gold repeatedly, or sac a large amount all at once?

Also, kicking C altars moves alignment, does kicking the elemental altars also give the same benefit?

Kicking altars has other consequences, though nothing that can't be mitigated.
Once L, sacrificing gold doesn't change your alignment, it only shifts it if you're not aligned with the altar.

Killing powerful chaotic monsters is a pretty lawful act - one wish for emperor moloch in the barb clearing yields 30-40 greater molochs.
While you no longer need the massive exp they give, the alignment gain is quite nice at 18 stones per pop and an artifact demon slayer is guaranteed in every game.
Not that a level 50 MC needs anything other than his mind.

You need to break the altar to get alignment, kicking without breaking just modifies piety. So temple altars will not be helpful.

Does destroying Neutral Alters have the same effect as C ones?

Does Saccing non-gold count for anything!

Sacrificing chaotic artifacts increases piety and alignment. Gold alone increases piety.
