    Default Problem with Arena master

I'm still playing good old ADOM 1.1.1

at the moment I have a problem with my lvl10 drakel Assassin that had its 4th or 5th Arena fight - I had to slay a ghul and managed it but: didn't get out of the arena.

so perhaps the ghul was not my target and I have to find an invisibke stalker? or the arena master is pissed off because i triggered by accident a fireball trap in the arena near to him (there is also a corruption trap)

I tried to zap my wands in hope for a trap creation to do a teleportation trap to get out of the arena but - no luck
just monster detect / wand of webbing

    so what to do now?

shall I let my hero die?

I don't think invisible stalkers can spawn in the arena. It could be the fireball trap. I've never seen such a thing happen before, but I guess it's possible that's the problem.

If you have any spellbooks, you could try reading those in hopes of getting a random teleport, I suppose.

    [edit]Could you post your savegame?

Wow. Is it possible that Dak is the one teleporting the PC out/into of the arena and with him dead the PC is stuck inside. Radical and funny. Sorry for laughing.

I tested your game. Dak is not in his place and is hostile. I did find one way to escape the Arena though.

    Ah! Thanks for the hint!

Seems I have to corrupt myself until this corruption sets in:
"Your close attunement to corrupted astral space allows teleportation."

Probably this will be the second last corruption I will get and then I will be slayed by Dak outside crying my last words:
"BUT I DIDN't SET THIS SHITTY FIREBALL TRAP, Dak"

    ADOM LIve is harsh...

ok I will report how Vipor_4 died ... later

this is the way it went on

    1st corruption: unholy aura
    2nd corruption: astral planes

Then, when the teleport set in,
    this happened

Suddenly you are teleported back to the entrance of the arena.
"Good fight! Ye have earned something like 306 gold pieces. Here we go!"

though Dak was hostile and 5 steps away

I fled, Dak followed me into the big halls
(perhaps I should have talked to him for another arena fight?)

    then I visited Dwarven city
    was chased by muscular dwarves
    got a quest from Thrundarr
and died to a ogre magus in D12

    Afterwards I checked my inventory

my third wand was in fact an empty wand of trap creation, so it might be that I accidentally zapped it

My alternative way of getting out of the arena would have been filling the wand with booze - but sadly I didnt know which potions were booze

I experimented with the unholy aura corruption via adombot just a few days ago.
I started off thinking it was a set radius thing, like the banshee wail and such,
then went to thinking that it was not a set radius, but rather a radius dependant
upon the xl of the PC. I got so many odd results I gave it up as a lost cause though.

Shame about the ogre magus. I hate those things.
"Whip me!" pleads the adom player. The rng replies... "No."

If you give 40gp to the beggars in the bandit village and 'C'hat with them afterwards, they may drop a potion, which is always cursed booze. That won't identify it formally, but you (the player) will know the unidentified appearance of those pots.
    "And light there be!"
