Sentence about inverse relation removed.
The willpower relation is worth noting, since abusing sword of nonnak etc or potions of boost willpower can help you clear certain areas pretty quickly. This is a well-placed tactic in the pyramid, dwarven graveyard and most of the temples (not fire of course). Even without a full set of the right equipment it can sometimes be worth taking a bit of damage and equipment destruction to get you out of a tight spot.
Also, I'm glad to see the change to the line about Metallurgy - gut's poem is now ruined, bwaha!
Minor thing about Pick Pockets - occasionally an outstanding item will be generated, yes, but what I and others find it most useful for is abundant amounts of holy water, identy scrolls, etc. The common things that sometimes aren't common enough.

What's wrong with abusing Nonnak's big weapon? :P It gives you bigger balls!

It's impossible to abuse a clearly planned feature of the game, especially one that has been around as long as Nonnak's sword. Other artifacts have been toned down (Rolf's Companion springs to mind) but the SoN has not, indicating TB thinks it is where it should be in terms of power.

I've heard that if you wear the weapon in your left hand and the shield in your right you get +10 to hit.
