Actually what I meant is that Grey states in this topic the same thing about Find Weakness that Soirana tests out in his skill guide. It was just a way to convince Andy that Grey was right and Gut was wrong, by providing a third (albeit unwilling) opinion. The GB would contain a YAGBU made by Grey, not by Soirana, so I see no harm in that. IF the skill guide didn't exist, and, for the purposes of the GB, it doesn't, you'd still have a YAGBU made by Grey, initially contested by Gut, but ultimately proven (by others' past experiences, by another's tests) to be correct.

Ah okay. I tried to find gut's comment but when I didn't going back 5 pages I didn't bother. If he was belittling find weakness he was of course wrong, hehe. Need no skillguide for that.

Thanks, most added. Is this *real* Magic Missile? As far as I know no other monster has Magic Missile, but rather the "glowing balls" attack.

It's those same glowing balls that liches use.

And you can add Shadow Wyrms to that list as well. A while ago, some glowing balls from one melted my bees-wax while I was leading the banshee towards the AF. Shadow wyrms in the GB are mentioned only to use frost bolt.

    Appendix B, weapons.

You appear to be missing an item, namely Heavy Cudgels.
While sorting some of my danger-level tests, I noticed the following inventory item:

    Code:
    H - 61 blessed heavy cudgels (-1, 2d5+2) [-2, +0] [4270s]
If it were the weapon prefix heavy, they would not have a different damage die (regular cudgels are (+0, 2d4+1) [-1, +0]), plus the weight would be double that of a regular cudgel (which is 40s).
4270 divided by 61 equals 70, if my maths is correct. Not 80, which is what it "should" be.

Plus there's the fact that they're equally as common as regular cudgels to be generated, which is something I can't say about any other prefix in the game.

Soirana's post, and date from the 'minor things but undocumented' thread.

So I'm not behind the times, just unable to see the future : )
In all seriousness though, Soirana had not yet requested that
his findings be left out of what he affectionately refers to as
the 'rumorbook', so I felt free to share info that he had discovered.
The fact that this 'rumor' found its way to the GB is my fault, not
anyone elses. I should have tested it before submiting it.

    Next gut-goof:

    >> Maybe mention that it stacks with slaying weapons,

    > Quite incorrect. I've not seen any research that shows Find
    > Weakness stacks with slaying weapons

I meant weapons that give critical hits. Sorry for the mistake. Find
weakness does stack with +crit weapons.

    >> and is the ONLY way to get critical hits with non-prefixed ammo,
    >> like rocks, coins, and regular 1d6 arrows.

    > without Find Weakness you still have a 5% chance or so of causing
    > a crit with any weapon, so it is not the "only way to score critical
    > hits with ordinary missiles".

My mind boggles at how badly I blew this one. I was basing my info
off of my 'fling the bling' experience. It seemed to me that I only hit
criticals when using a PC with the find weakness skill. I just tested this
though, and Grey is right. How I missed the base 5% chance of
criticals is beyond me, considering that I shot something like 1 zillion
coins in that challenge. Oh well. Sorry again.

In appendix B - Weapons it is stated that the ToTRR weights 120s, while it weights 150s.
1 ULE, 1 UNE, 18 regular endings. Won with every race. Trying to win with every class. Never won with farmer, merchant, mindcrafter and thief.

I believe everything is up to date at this point. A notation has been made about Hotzenplotz's ability to see invisible in the Lawenilothehl page and in appendix J, monsters.
