"Whip me!" pleads the adom player. The rng replies... "No."
One issue.
"Your equipment suddenly seems to weigh less" sometimes seems to happen without inventory changes.
This message is given also when not-yet-rotten food changes status, eg. from blessed to uncursed. And if you had not identified the BUC-status, you obviously see no visible change in the inventory."Your equipment suddenly seems to weigh less" sometimes seems to happen without inventory changes.
It's logical. when rotting, it "weighs" less

Killing Dak, the arena master, isn't a chaotic act (or is a very minor one). Chatting with the ratling rebel after, however, is enough to push from L+ to L.

Trying to teleport the dying Khelavaster off his staircase has no effect on him.
Your armor weakens, oh my!
Are you certain you only had rations? It's easy to pickpocket an apple and not even notice you ever had it before it rots from your inventory (which looks like it just has rations after the apple has rotted away).

I don't use Pick Pockets, and it occured not long after I ate, so I know (because I just looked at the food list) that all I was carrying was rations.
In my experience the message also seems to sometimes appear (instead of "Your food item rots away!") if you have a low stat in something, maybe Perception.
