Just uploading the second episode and I think that the orcish ring merchant RosOrkrectio is doing quite well ;-) Actually it's very interesting to do this challange because I never ever tried to earn as much gold as possible as quick as possible. I went for a rather short early game (healing skill from Hotzenplotz, afterwards small cave and UD). Next episode I might directly go to the pyramid and afterwards dive quickly into the CoC... I hope that's a good way to get rich quickly. I even increased haggling in order to be able to earn more money with sold items x-)

Ah, I've tried only gnomish one to get over 17 Mana and got around 2/5 of the sum. In any case, the Arena is right there.

Oh my, with that much of a starting boost, ResOrkrectio can only hope that your char will die on the way to Khelly x-)

Merchants are challenging as is.

I think in order to make things as interesting as possible the -10000 is only awarded if you save him directly after giving him the gold.

I am getting a little confused x-) Soooo the participants do have 10k turns in order to give 48k gold to Khelly AND save him? That's a really tough one, I think!

Oops, sorry for confusion. The participants have unlimited turns to give him 48000 gold pieces. The participant with the fewest played turns upon giving him the sum wins the contest. A contestant can have his/her turncount reduced by 10000 for saving Khelly's life directly after giving him the 48000 gold pieces.

Also, further reduction in turncount is possible as outlined in a previous post.

If anyone doesn't agree with these reductions, please say so and we alter them or discard them.

P.S. There isn't only a first place, so you don't have to give up on an attempt if somebody already posted a lower turncount you are on, or try to find a way to get the bonus for saving his life.

Hmmm, in order to get the bonus for winning the game, would you have to win untill August, 31st?

I think that was my original thought, but as you are recording sessions and uploading the videos, I don't think we need to be so mean as to rush you. Still you can't take more than 3 months.

I think it is fine if it goes over the 31st, unless grobblewobble or any other successful funders object.

Of course then he should also be allowed to continue and finish after the 31st with his character.

Funding and saving still has to occur prior to the end of the 31st.
