    Got antsy and finally got one of these going and not killed by some horrendous mistake. I don't remember early game because I did it a while ago on this PC and only picked it back up around TOTHK time.

    On way to retrieving platinum ring I find not one, but two of Thrundarr's quest monster - a flipping giant slug - which was a huge relief. I get a corpse on the first try thanks to a long bow of hunting and arrows of hunting. After getting ring, I find ordinary ring on way to surface in non-cavernous level. Attempting to use in wilderness yields message "Not here" - jackpot. It came pre-blessed, I eventually save Khelly with it. One of the chaos servants drops a 30s bulky girdle - another jackpot.

    Yada yada boring stuff, use heir gift to clear water temple. Crown - =Shock of course, so I'm on the lookout for some =Fire or -Fire stuff [no intrinsic]. I head to DFG where I easily eliminate golems and poolsip to -TCtrl [OH NO], +TCtrl [oh thank goodness], +Invis & finally a wish, among several other useful intrinsics like -Deth and -Para [which I continuously completely forget I have all the way up to the end of the game and spend much time switching in AMW/AoFA/AoDR - just see flg!]. Wishing for RDSMs yields four and I wear one for rest of game.

    Have a bit of trouble in TOEF, so bless a randomly found POCC and use it on ACW - he dies quickly after that.

    Dive past EG, rob Casino, grab cat ring and resurface to do Mino Maze - w/o stunning capabilities. It goes okay; Thiefs are by no means "immune" to traps, certainly not when RNG gets involved [goodbye ring of mental stability, one of my only two sources of -Conf]. Tried Ventriloquism on Mino Mages to mixed success, but I only encountered about 6 [including two guarding emp], so I made do with half that+melee and half humanoid slaying. Thankfully, I didn't have to explore too many false levels [maybe like 11-12 levels total, including the seven real ones]. I snack on mino emp corpse once I get to wilderness, yum yum yum yum. Bless POGA for use later, but first pick some morgia to bring Wi back up. Use AOTME for rest of game. I murder Casino shopkeep w/ humanoid slaying after Mino Maze.

    By around Earth Temple I've got two more wishes in pack, so I decide to wish for Find Weakness. Earth Temple is easily cleared on very defensive.

    Encounter a GUV around this time. Its the kind with a room of lich kings connected by secret door to room of lich king + master liches, and the big center w/ one emp lich. I opt to grab some stuff - sp. Far Slayer [in big room, but I TP to near corner] and true aim [master lich + one lich king room]. Save rest for later. D:46 or so, I find a greater giant vault [the one w/ four hidden rooms in center room], which I clear part of to nab Perion's platemail, obsidian quarrel & Vanquisher. Far Slayer + obsidian quarrel is nowhere near slaying in power, but it's still okay.

    BDC is a breeze. Same for Nuurgy. Uselessness is Lust for Glory. Clear D:50 with no trouble, straight up melee most of the balors but Fisty. I collect all eternium caps hoping for something nice, but nothing greater than +4 surfaces. What a waste of like 15 eternium cap drops [as PreFollower noted on IRC, enough to equip small army of ADOM PCs ]. I clear the GUV on the way back up.

    Next I decide to do some interesting things. Talk to Assassin Prince, then attempt to backstab him [I miss, as I recall]. He dies quickly anyway. I have no idea what my first kill is, but I head to ID to slay Filk. Eventually find him on I25 [goblin rockthrower, apparently - was hoping it wasn't orc, which had 101 kills]. Continue to SIL where I one-shot backstab MaLaKaI w/ AOTME - highlight of the game for me, since it would've been pretty embarassing and potentially deadly to miss, even with nearly 800 HP. [I wonder, is MaLaKaI or Momma Dragon the most dangerous mob in the game? We should discuss this sometime, set some parameters ]

    As I recall from mindcrafter, ascending the ID is the really hard part. You get a feel for where down staircases are very easily since that's all you ever do, but reversing that? I find it quite hard and I bumbled around for quite a bit. After about 45 minutes, I managed to get to surface though, talked to Mad Minstrel and went to slaughter Emp Moloch. He was a pushover w/ heir gift - backstab to moderately wounded then hack and step [guess I should mention I had very light corruption and stilts! that helps a lot, though L50 Thief is very speedy regardless].

    Then, I get Khelly to summon TOTRR, cop a save in case I want to do infinite ID challenge, spend my last wish on SOCR, clear corruptions and leave chain.
