Death in DH

So, I was playing this Level 16 Crowned Dwarven Beastfighter. My DV was about 50, unboosted. I had received Bracers of War as a crowning gift and some other cool stuff, too. Very promising lad that was, until...

I had descended through the animated forest thanks to ring of invisibility. But, I was a fool, so I tried going to Dwarven Halls. Well, there I encountered a room full of fire demon. I tried running, of course, but those bastards got me surrounded in a corridor.

You die...

And that all was because of my own stupidity.

Happens. It's good to use scroll/wand of monster detection before going through DH. Btw. most dangerous in DH are mixed tension rooms - I've meet there creatures like emperor liches or greater titans.

Once I got a room full of Minotaur Mages there...

And a also the fire demons - and that was a darkened room too.

It's funny, often the DHs can be really easy to walk through, other times you better hope you have teleportation control and one charge left. (:

Once I had a room full of black unicorns there ... I didn't manage to escape :/
