I've changed the logo of the ADOM wiki to this one:



I hope you like it

If not, feel free to make an alternative version or propose changes.
Ascyron, especially from you I'd like to hear if you like it or not.

(The help page advised to lock the logo page, which I did - only admins can change the it now. That is Ascyron and me.)

I like it!

I'd spent all of thirty seconds having ideas for a logo... the best idea I had come up with was something like a 3d @ symbol, since really that defines Adom...

This is far better Shows why I shouldn't be trusted with anything artsy.

Notes to self:
- if we take the first one, the text needs to go a bit more to the left.
- need a larger border
- i think i made the ToEF *too* red
- dont try to reuse the text again; messes up antialiasing
- make sure you got correct size and format
- decide on a license and apply it; i want it so that others can use it too...
- check if thers a better skin for the wiki
(problem is, i like light skins, but the logo should be whiteonblack...)
- try to make the logo look like a pencil sketch, ie darkgrey on lightgrey or something. or a bit like roguebasins logo, i love that one.


EDIT: But I dont think I have time for it this week. Maybe next week. We'll see, I'll get to it eventually.

Hmm... I'm torn now.
I don't know which one I prefer :P

... having said that, I vote for the second one. Seems more flashy

I definitely prefer the snazzier new logo. You could perhaps zoom in on the Drakalor Chain a bit, causing some of the edge bits to disappear off the sides. As it stands I can imagine it wouldn't look very clear at other resolutions what the picture was actually showing. The colour balance is all fine - the Tower stands out nicely (as it should).

Did a quick test, and yes, it doesnt look *too* good on smaller sizes. But i think one can see what it means... which doesnt hold if one "zooms in"; we (me) are just too used to the look/format of the 80x25 drakalor chain.

I'll make the real thing next week or so.

UPDATE 2009-07-16: No I didn't just forget to do it. I'll get there eventually; its a thing I'm lookin forward to but don't have the time now.
