    Default Adom grandmaster:

    Seriously there is achievement called "Adom grandmaster" - involves getting all other achievements.
    What are the chances that "someone" is crazy enough to work toward it? Well, about 100% I guess

    Let's review the essence of task - aka problematic ones:
    Achiever/Overachiever/Adom grandmaster
    Unlock 40%/80%/all other achievements
    Grandmaster seems rather problematic, currently I have 34/83 [~41%] Achiever is still locked.


    The Grey Hawk/The White Eagle/Everything for this momemnt
    Ultra neutral, lawful and ultimate chaos god endings I guess?
    Neutralizer / Revered martyr
    "Slay Chaos God in your crusade for Balance", same for order
    Not sure if there is difference between first group and second

    [teleporting out of shop worth artifact in hands does not count at least at moment of writing, but unlocks shoplifting achievement]
    WTF does count? My initial thought was pickpocketing artifact/RoDS.

    Beloved by fate
    Win with character created via fate decide.
    Depends on play style I guess, for me it is probably rolling fate decides untill I get something I want to play...

    Give and take
    "Spend total of 90.169 gold pieces in shops with one character."
    Cheapstake way of selling bunch of loot to Waldy and rebuying artifact for 94k~ish did not work.
    So is this balance [aka spending your 90k gold] or you need spend exact sum. Hopefully not later.

    "Speed demon"
    Win in under 10k turns.
    Well, personally I found it being mighty problematic before changes to darkforge, tp spell cost and HP casts abusing toughness, xp changes does not help either. Still pullable I guess and still wizards only.

    Scoring monster
    Score 50mil.
    Covered by "speed demon" I guess.

    Ocean's eleven
    "Successfully rob Casino shop"
    Well, grabbing loot and zapping shopkeeper with wand of far slaying from opposite wall gives loot but no achievement. Next on try list blocking doors with pet.
    I had similar experience with shoplift one - teleporting out counted and attacking shopkeeper didn't.

    Old style challenges:
    Eternium man:
    lv50 in SMC - with gremlins being nerfed to ground... raven born gnome wizzy who starts with book of summon creatures and scroll of familiar summoning, get good bookcaster and 60PP at lv3, summon mobs let familiar kill them. I think if areas DL is low enough vortices can not be generated. Would be boring to extreme.

    Iron man:
    As far as I am concerned wizzard probably drake. Drake wizzies start with horrible learning although.

    Lithium man
    Does not sound to complicated.

    Magic hater
    Win without casting spells.
    As far as care about wands of wonder is taken, should not be much of problem.


    Plant hater
    Win without using herbs, plants and related skills.
    So herb training, stoma, logs?, wooden stakes?. Herbalism, gardening and probably bridge building and fletchery is off limits.
    Well, melee char who starts with healing and reasonable stats should do okay. Something like dwarven beastfighter/orcish paladin.

    Plutonium man
    win after killing 95% of each monster.
    IIRC attempts at plutonium this realistically requires wish engine, so likely Archmage as that would knock some other easily. Ring engines was nerfed in some unknown way, I believe.

    "Steel man"
    I think everything that was used in original steel man win is working. Well, maybe lochs give less xp, so might need two wishes instead of one.
    Core is still get some danger scrolls, raise DL to 8+, install some summoners, kill mobs, sort loot.

    "Titanium man"
    Win before reaching xp lvl 20.
    lv 20 is ~2mil xp, so late game needs heavy use of slaves, pets, Hawkslayer, etc.
    My best bet is play bard as normal to level 15, tame giant boar and protect him [so need roll bard with concentration and get healing book].

    Untill there is more stable version I guess I will put some effort towards lithium, ironman challenges.

    Some of these achievements that don't trigger sound like they should be reported as bugs.

    I sorta remember lots of requests of nerf summoner to the ground and bellow, but does anyone knows what exactly was done?


    After some playing and some fiddling in exploratiuon mode [r53] it seems there is hard limit on summons - wererats for example do not summon more than ~5 times even after recovering. That sadly puts even more weight towards "be wizzard, bookcast summon creatures" in stuff like steel man .

    In my latest win I got this achievement while skipping major parts of the game. The achievement also mentions that it only counts 'non-unique' monsters. I'm not sure whether it's bugged or if there just aren't that many non-unique very rare monster types. For example I killed only 2 minotaur types (no mazelords mages or kings) and no ki-rins and alike stuff. There's undoubtedly more types that I didn't kill but apparently I killed enough to get to the 95% (which wasn't the goal as it was just a regular win).

    BAsically played as normal switched to boar at lv15, did tower manually and severely miscalculated xp from ACW -- ended like5.5k under lv20, so rest went more pacifist like.
    Wished for concentration but never found healing spellbook for pets.
    I've read some comments about boars being meh as far as pets go, but mine ended being monstrosity according to ingame description 30 attacks in 400 range.
    D50 was handled by two greater earth elementals and wand of destruction [dug one row towards edge from lever to avoid possible xp].
    Borina also succeeded in plutonium, while killing very few things after ToEF....I can post full list but I am rather sure plutonium one is broken at moment.
    At least titanium part was legit

    Apparently selling good artifacts [preserver, AMW like ] and teleporting out of shop with them does not unlock master of thieves. Guess next time I hope Casino spawns one and use pet blocking techniques to steal naturally generated artifact.

    Okay, to keep things up:
    Give and take:
    needs to hit exact sum. Good news sells does not count against total, so either keep good bookkeeping or drag something like dwarf merchant who bought cookies did Arena for gold and got si to DwarfTown. Eat lizards, replicate si's and sell and rebuy from Waldy - towards end need to sell him some rocks to hit precise number.

    Ironman -
    I think walking away from stairs is okay [I did teleported away with stairs in sight due to being swamped by greater air elementals from threat room]
    On test [another installation from backup] several other things appeared to be okay too - wilderness encounters [giant boar], reentering ID and moving between I1 and I2. Entyering other locations is not okay.
    Likely as far as achievements go simply go to ID, get scepter, exit chain is okay. Makes lot of less pain than classical version, although argument can be made that ironman is not stairhopper...

    So grey hawk and neutralizer does not unlock on same time. Grey hawk is as expected unlocked by ultra, but WTF is neutralizer in such case...
    I hope grandmaster does not involve failing 3 ultras on purpose...

    I earned Plutonium man with a regular gate closer. I never saw any ultra rare monsters like the Ki Rin and didn't go out of my way to kill farmers, children, or other non-hostiles. I tend to take a long time to play, though and that might have something to do with it.

    Got poison resistance from black wizard summons, so working on swamps now ~2k per \swamp hydra and ~4k per dragon in current setup. If second carrot juice pot does not drop [need 15 Pe for great book caster - and need book of summon monsters to use it as planned...]

    Well, as easy to guess from inventory I've found, cursed and read scroll of danger too. Wilderness [scroll of danger effects actually remains on wildernss area] is now DL5. Looking forward to finding magical writing set [mental note might want to grab soime clay lumps for potions of exchange].

    Some notes:
    Starting books are safe as backpack is not rusted/drenched by rain [IIRC, that was removed in some updates]
    Any cloak [not just hooded] protects worn inventory from rain.
    I was really not impressed by swamp hydra toughness training -- all points i've got was via hill orcs chieftains early on .
    I've thought char is best started with SoA, but Remove curse proved to be just superb starting book.
