Newbie questions?

I ran across a Statue in the UD, anything to be done with this? anything not to be done? I'm playing a dwarven druid if that matters.

You want to walk across it to get a message about what it's a statue of. It may just be flavour, or it might have an in-game effect.

You can also kick them, which might summon a monster, an item, or something else altogether (be warned that if you're on pr23 this might also crash the game).

Some can be very beneficial, some are deadly dangerous.
Many people simply ignore them, I sure wish I had ignored them at least twice...
Mostly they are harmless though, some can be prayed at too for some effects.
If you don't mind being spoiled, Ancardia wiki has a list of almost all statues and the effects of interaction.

Another question. I'm haviong some difficulty in locating Rehetep to get the Ancient mummy wrap Artifact. I found a regular mummy wrapping but the AP is -6 not -8 like the artifact. As far as i can tell i've cleared the level.. and only found the exit stairs.. no other up or down ones.. and i dont think i killed Rehetep yet.. my Druid is pretty buff so maybe i did IDK.

You will know for certain 100% when you encounter Rehetep, the others walking around are just regular mummys.
You may want to try magic map scroll if you're not using guides (like adom guidebook).

Isn't it usually possible to see everything on the Pyramid's top level at once? If you don't see any monsters, just hoover up all the wrappings on the level and grab the AMW. It weighs less than the rest so you don't even need to try them all on.

I don't think Sovisus has been in Rehetep's chamber yet. That pyramid has some secret tricks that you need to find before you meet Rehetep. You won't miss him accidentally when you find him =)

Reminds me of when I entered the pyramid for the very first time (I don't think I was spoiled at all) -- I found myself on the downstairs so I thought "uh oh, I need to find the upstairs to get out of this place!"

Yes, except the ancient mummy wrapping weighs more than the others. It weighs 60s instead of 50s, to be exact, and both only drop from Rehetep, who is hard to miss anyway.
