    Unhappy Salack Na, done in by a certain Mad Carpenter and and Dumb Decision

    I decided to try an Orcish Paladin, as I've been having issues with getting sick from a corpse Dwarves and Humans shouldn't be eating. I would just use a troll, but that would be tough considering they're so dumb, no magic means a tough time after the beginning.

    Salack Na went down into a dungeon to never return. A few floors down, and Yriggs attacks, he wasn't ready for Yriggs, and was almost dead, his heart beat quickened and in his will to live dealt a final, critical killing blow. He drank all his potions in an attempt to heal, luckily, he had two healing potions, getting him up to around 50% health. He saw a room ahead of him, the door was locked, and he was stupid enough to kick it down... it had a fire trap, and he was destroyed.

    Ah, the stupidity of this death. EDIT:The spear I was holding was destroyed in the explosion. I wasn't running around without weapons as a Paladin.

    i havent seen your post history, so if you know this then ignore this post but....there are certain corpses that make you sick always...like kobolds (all types), rabid dogs, etc.
    This has nothing to do with race/class
    In general, you can find out what has happened in the game by pressing the following 2 keys :m
    And if it is bad avoid it in the future

    That is one problem. Your Speed is a measure of how many actions you take, vs other things.
    So a speed of 78, when normal things are about 100, means even running away, you get hit every 3 or 4 moves.

    You had already killed Yrrigs, which is not the optimal solution, but it is ok. After the fight, First Aid would have helped you if it were higher. It could have been at a usable level after 7 levelups.

    Then, the most important thing, head back to Jharod for healing instead of opening any more doors. He will heal you 7 times even if your alignment is chaotic. Ideally, do it also before looking for Yrrigs and leave your heavy stuff further upstairs.

    Finally, drinking random potions is too risky and should only be done as a last resort. And by last resort I mean at least being boxed in and having used up prayers ('_'). In your case you drank a potion of exchange, which swaps your stats around. While that may be great for a mist elf, it is really horrible for an orc. It took away all your Toughness and you were quite lucky to keep some Strength.
