My climbing set got destroyed. Now I'm tediously walking around the next-to-last level, killing monsters and trying to find another one. Any better idea? Maybe it's better to stay on upper levels or in wilderness? I have blessed 7lb.

Well, there's that ratling selling climbing sets for funny prices in the Rift, but I'm not sure if it's such a good idea.
Gate closers: GE Wizard, DE Archer, Ratling Elementalist, Ratling Duelist, GE Merchant, ME Druid, HE Mindcrafter, ME Monk
You can also get in if you have very low perception, which might help? If you have an Orc helmet or something. Has anyone tried getting in while Blind?
that seems impractical given that blind from light traps will 100% wear off in wilderness and you can only permanently be blinded from 1 time special room effects, and he's already explored all the dungeons in the area
Protip, bless your climbing set unless you have a spare, to reduce destruction chance :P. and always try to carry a spare if you can, pyramid is good for guaranteed setMy climbing set got destroyed. Thanks, another problem: I can't find ratling trader on bottom of the rift. Was he removed?

I guess he was killed, but there was a ring of djinni summoning on the same level. Luck or feature?
Also from boredom I killed the minotaur emperor, and it was very rewarding. I never did the maze, but now it's very good, at least if you have good trap detection and teleport control.

The minotaur emperor seems oddly very vulnerable to poison. I encountered his group of minotaur mages at the corner of one corridor. Since the mages are pretty good at draining stats, and the visible one was standing in an area that prevented an arrow from reaching, I decided to get them moving by bouncing the ray of a wand of poison.
So I do that, hit a mage or two and the emperor, they come after me and I snipe them from afar. No emperor however. As I explored I saw the emperor in a confused state and poisoned, and at low health. By the time I found him again he was a pile of items.
