    Default D'karr L50 eaten by a Grue the Chaos Gate

    Crowned Champion of Chaos at the Chaos Gate with the ToRR, Medal and Crown. 2 corruptions short to enter so wait and fight monsters. 'Blot out the Sun' corruption triggers, stuck in the dark. Can't read Scroll of Uncursing in the dark. Can't remove cursed Amulet of Chaos to put on my Amulet of Light. Can't dip a Chaos artifact in Holy Water. Try to zap wand of teleport on self; drained by mana battery corruption. Can't get last wrench to trigger before I wander into the jaws of a slavering Grue. Goddamnit!

    Important lesson: Read a Scroll of Uncursing as soon as you equip the Chaos Artifacts.

    Also would have been an idea to drink Potions of Raw Chaos for fast corruptions so I could hop right into the gate.

    Don't try and finish games in a hurry when you're tired...

    You never found any torches?

    [edit]Actually, if you're really desperate and are in otherwise good condition, you can pray for light, IIRC. It's a very low priority prayer though, so you can't basically be hurt at all.

    Actually I've just remembered I had a Blessed Ring of Djinni Summoning... could have wished for an Everburning Torch. Gah!
