Alright! Time to do this.
Given that JellySlayer kindly left me standing on some stairs, making it insanely easy to fulfill the "descend at least once" requirement, I decided to just w5 until I met opposition. At 6154, a minotaur entered the room - upon seeing that two rocks only brought it down to moderately injured, I decided to descend since I think minotaurs can be a threat. (I probably overestimated this specific threat.)
I9 brings a tension room. At 6260, I walk straight into a dark elven wizard after returning from a dead end, which is a good reminder to self that I should never walk again in a TWL. It is neutral, though, so I leave it be. I soon find an elven chain mail, which I keep in case our WDSM gets destroyed for some reason. I also find a small key, our first key this game.
At 6410, I find an ogre tension room, its doors open. I run well away and try taking on a single ogre much later, which actually got into melee range. However, I can kite him, killing him soon. Of course, the ogre magus is among the first to come after me. I level up upon killing the ogre and max Food Preservation, pump as many points into Detect and Disarm as possible, and bring Find Weakness up to 80. Then I make a mad dash to the left side of the level, luckily finding the downstairs quite soon. Time to go.

Burdened Coward

The next upstairs room has a door with a small lock, so I lock the room to recover a bit. Of course, the small key breaks. At around 7600, I hear a distant wind - now on 61 HP, I kick the door down and go out. My motivation is that I don't want to be stuck in this small room and have a vortex coming down on me after an ogre or something smashes the door down - I'd rather have multiple avenues of escape. A hill giant not far down the next corridor seems to vindicate me in this regard, although I don't see the vortex yet - only a raider that drops a scroll which stacks with one of our unid scrolls. A displacer beast proves to be a damn pain to kill, but more "long" than "dangerous", really.
There is one room to the right down the only open corridor, which has a dark orc and a clay... something. Statue or golem, I forgot to look, I just noped out of there quickly, almost as though the game was real-time. I went towards the bottom left (the bottom right door is locked, be sure to check it for traps and stuff before trying to open it again) and killed some easy mobs, but the dark orc followed me (the clay something didn't appear to) so it was time for another dance. I began to kite and pelt the dark orc with rocks, and turn 8000 actually arrived as I was doing that. I actually stopped for a couple of turns in the meanwhile to play the lute at a giant lizard to the right, so there is now a friendly lizard in the corridor towards the clay something room that just needs to be tamed now. Kill the dark orc first, though. We got wounded on the very last turn, so don't forget to use First Aid if you get an opportunity.
