    Default Did you know..?

After she closed the gate, Femmina, my female dwarven fighter (fightress? fighteress? or what?) decide to climb up and take a rest in the free-of-corruption casino...
well, it seems that it's not so corruption-free after all, after gambling a bit she ended to spot maggots! Come on..a 32 appearence female with maggots, horrible scene
The point is if it's intentional (I know, the demon of gambling) or maybe a bug, walking around seems not to corrupt (i'm with r59).

Closing the gate only stops background corruption - it doesn't affect special sources of corruption (corpses, special levels, gambling, etc).

Thanks, So gambling machines itselfs are sources of corruption just like traps..make a lot of sense anyway.
I didn't know and when happened I thought that maybe I messed someway to really close the gate....

This is worth reporting as a bug. Maybe corruption from the machines is supposed to be the regular background one, but was implemented in a special way (as all gambling takes/took place in one turn) and doesn't check if the gate is closed.

Gambling corruption used to not exist (as in, it only corrupted according to background which is nothing since gambling takes minimal time/turns), but this was easily and often exploited. It was changed to actually corrupt on its own so there would be an actual cost to infinite gold.
