Cant find the stairs

trying to locate the down stairs on UD6. ive expended about 12 digging charges throughout the level and have still not been able to locate the room with the stairs and at this point i dont think there is a space large enough to hold a room with the stairs in it. UD6.png

Did you look under that weapon in the upper left? Could be hidden by it. Also try (s)earching along the walls in the upper left area.

yeah ... I'd Suspect that there would be a hidden door, somewhere in one of the two western-most rooms

i was able to locate the down stairs behind the wall in the north western room however there was no door to the hall so must have been a secret passage that i missed. without a source of digging i dont think i would have ever located it because my normal test of kicking the wall did not yield the "your really hurt your foot ..." message.

Cause it is more turn efficient?
Normally kick let's differentiate between diggable wall and everything else (hideen/undiggable etc) in one turn. Search... is unreliable at best.
