Are there pure ASCII new releases after the last free one?

Recently jumped into Steam version(s) and miss old *FAST* ASCII experience... there is a visible lag between pressing key and actual animation on any setting.

You can always change to ASCII in Steam version. From the starting screen go to Settings -> Game Settings -> ASCII mode.

switching vertical sync off helped! still a little bit laggy (but almost there!)

It was not.
Sometimes even small lags are the hell.
Casting a spell with fast 'Z''letter''direction' is the one of them, then you just hit the monster instead.

fair enough. i assume it still runs like a dog in the animated forest. I'm just waiting for the long promised new content. Looks like the creator is too busy lamenting US politics at the moment.

I've actually had no problems with the animated forest in the new version. My CPU sucks too.
