random crashes on Steam

My Steam game sometimes crash randomly. Has anyone else had this problem? The backup saves disappeared as well.

Yes, I've experienced it as well and reported it in the bug forum.

As I understand it they are currently focusing on improving stability for the next patch so hopefully there should be less crashes.

I've been making manual backups of my saves at important points such as finishing the puppy cave or reaching dwarf-town, just in case.
