    Default first steam victory - drakeling assassin

    Early game: Generated a candle-born, went for the healing skill and PV talents and found elven chain mail in the dog cave. A pixie dropped a corpse and I couldn't resist, got me teleportitis. So I generated a blink dog in the ID. Some people hate teleportitis, but I love it. It allowed me to get Rolf's axe straight away, not a bad early game weapon even without the shield. Also found a cloak of invisibility somewhere. With stealth it allowed me to steal every potion from the shop in the settlement, for several restocks. Gained Herbalism from a potion of education and maxed out Wi/Dx/To. Also gulped down three blessed potions of troll blood. A potion of insight revealed I now healed 3 HP every 5 turns.

    Other notable finds early on were a pair of seven league boots and an adamantium flail of penetration, one of the best ego weapons I've seen.

    Ice queen: a dangerous quest for a drakeling, but with offensive alchemy it was not so bad.

    Tower of Eternal Flames: With Immune to Pain and my natural regen, I was regenerating HP in the tower as a drakeling. Killed the wyrm with a PoCC and a few hits.
    After the ToEF I obtained the cat ring (thanks to music) and started the rolf quest. The first time I made this quest, after an epic fail last game where I forgot about the dragon turtles in the moat. The cloak of invisibility solved that problem this time. The stone dragon caves had a herd of karmic dragons, which I bravely ran away from. They also contain stone oozes, which I mistook for gray oozes at first. Almost died there. The stone dragon king fell to wand of fireballs + water orb.

    I had not managed to save Khelavaster and no SoCR from the mystic either, so I did the library to be safe with corruption. Nearly died in the rift, when a random teleport landed me in the middle of an abandoned shop. Wand of fireballs saved the day, again.

    As for corruption.. it turned out I had not needed to worry at all. I gained one corruption in the early game, self-inflicted with chaos alchemy. (Poison hands - cleared it immediately.)

    In the rest of the game, I took it easy and fully cleared two greater vaults, in addition to some optional side quests. After all that, as well as getting all of the orbs, I still had not gained a single corruption. After fully clearing D:50, without wands of destruction, I finally got my first and only other corruption. Corruption really was nerfed too hard.

    Nonetheless I still did the white unicorn quest, because I can't say no to a unicorn.

    Got the Magic Hater achievement, yay!

    Also got the achievement for Plutonium man without trying - booh, 95% is too easy, I didn't even see a Kirin.
