Greetings. ADOM is a great game but this is a pretty serious problem that I hope can be fixed.

When multiple similar actions are performed simultaneously, each action plays the same sound also all at once. The result is that the sounds add together and you get a loud blast of sound. If you play the same sound twice its twice as loud. Three times its three times as loud. Now what happens if you say... pick up 30 or 100 items that you stashed somewhere with the 1(all) key? Likewise with other actions that happen simultaneously like getting hit by multiple monsters it sounds like my laptops speakers are going to blow out (being surrounded and getting hit by 9 animated forest trees for example results in a sound that is 9x as loud as normal). Speaking of sound the water hit sound needs to be eq'ed and reduced in volume its way too loud and harsh sounding, other than this its not bad.

Its not really as big of a problem when mixing different sounds, but when playing multiple instances of the same sound its additive. One fix would be to divide the volume of each source by the number of sources to be played simultaneously, or to limit it to only play one instance of a particular sound at any given time.
