This was my first attempt at a character who was neither a Wizard or Archer who even made it past the Pyramid. Very promising. Great skills; good spells; specializing in slings and THEN found Whirlwind....and I was thinking about my MT strategy. So I wasn't paying enough attention to the mixed tension room. Bard had killed most of the Earth Temple in melee, so I was just pressing right arrow 3-4 times and checking his status. A few bad rounds against a

This Bard started with Archery, Detect Item Status, Find Weakness and 2 of Healing/Herbalism/Gardening. Got the 3rd from quest; got Food Preservation as a Human. Used talents to strengthen missile weapons and spellcasting.

Found SLB even though didnít start with them
Pyramid/griffyard as usual. Took care of most foes with sling and various weapons (I was thinking I'd get a few levels in several, to be able to use eventual slaying artifacts)
Maxed all skills, including getting all of the in-game skills I know where to get, and maxed them.
Crowned with staff of the wanderer
Found Nature armor as random drop (!)
For level 25 class power, because I'd put effort into skill-maxing, I got: Improve Tactics and Smithing; gain Athletics, Alchemy, necromancy, woodcraft

One of the spells he learned as his class power was 600 castings of Acid Ball! Fantastic.

FGJC had a book shop!!! Um, it restocked itself one time for only about 1/3 its inventory, and was the smallest size shop. Less awesome.


From Fire Vault (below Earth Temple but I cleared first): Kalmius Shield, Iron Crown of Havlor, Third Eye, a Tower Eternium Shield, and Whirlwind

Mix of missile/melee in Fire Temple against the tough goons, which went pretty well, Acid ball for boss. I was *terrified* by standing close to him and using not-ice-ball, but it went...pretty well.

D:27: Moloch tension room. Did not engage.

The most dangerous place for this character was the Air Temple. No, seriously. The big kicker was having 4 Juggernauts around me at the same time. But I didn't want to step back, because I wanted to keep hitting Mr Summoner with my low-radius Acid Ball. I had to:
-pray for healing
-pray for healing
-pray and be given a freaking pickaxe when I was already inside the temple, with my health at 97/300 and PP at 12/368. I was cranky about that
-Pray for healing
-PRay for PP


The earth temple was not simple but honestly wasn't hard. When facing 1-3 foes I just beat them with Kalmius' Shield; when more surrounded (and v ASB) used Acid Ball.

Continuing on to the Mana Temple achcchchhc....
