    Skipping most of the items unless anyone is curious. I had like WAY too many things carried because of my ridiculous carrying capacity. I think I was carrying 30 tomes, and an entire shops worth of figurines of wondrous power. I found out the old barbarian can actually pick up items off the ground, so I had to kill him. Jerk.

    Anyways, I invested deep into all the trading talents, to get as many shops to spawn as possible. I made a habit of buying out any shop I encountered to acquire lots of items. This allowed me to get many boost learning potions for learning spells that a merchant had no right learning. I also did some exchanging to get a djinni summoning ring for my amulet of life saving. Potions of gain attributes required potions of cure corruption so I wasn't able to make a ton of those. To be honest, even with all that I didn't think I'd be able to ultra. I was planning on doing everything to get there just to keep the option open, but was going to fall back to a regular ending if I didn't think myself strong enough.

    The moment I knew I was going to Ultra was when I encountered a greater undead vault in the jarl coves. I managed to clear it out without losing a single stat points. When I did that I knew it was time to make the dive. I dove straight to the chaos gate with no regrets. Andor Drakon was honestly easy as hell. All the potions I'd bought from generating massive numbers of shops meant I could easily boost my speed to around 700. And my ball spells had a radius of 3-4. But with my supply of booze potions I had multiple blessed fireball wands up to 30-40 charges each before I dove in. Everything in the way perished in a ball of fire and Andor wasn't fast enough to keep up with me.

    I think for a merchant, going down the trading line may actually be a really strong strategy. You need to know how to use all those surplus resources, but doing so results in serious stat gains and wand charges. Either way, this run was surprisingly easy once I started hitting up shops. I didn't even really need to scum or anything. Just stop by each shop during my regular adventure, buy up everything, then check back next time I passed it. It was kind of silly honestly.

    Also, I think I can say that merchants feel way easier than thieves to play. XD

    Seriously though. I cannot stress enough how powerful merchants are as wand-wizards. Clearing the mana temple was BY FAR the easiest I've had with ANY run. The insanely high supply of booze means you can cast with more sustain than even a wizard during the mana temple. And the massive learning boosts from potions mean you can learn actual ball spells for when you need it. And then pop a will boost potion when you need to ramp up the firepower. I love this setup. It's really strong.
