Default Best Casino loot (+Casino tactics)

What's the best set of items you've found in a single iteration of the Casino?

I just got: Chainmail of the Martyred Crusader, Iron Helm of Havlor, and Boots of the Divine Messenger in the same shop. Seems amazing! But I've also not made it to the casino alllll that many times, so I'm curious what epic hauls other people have seen. I am, though, pretty excited to gamble excessively and get those three. To join my crowning Ring of the Archmages, wielded Scorpion's Sting, and thrown Sonic Boom.

Also....how do you actually handle the casino shop? Since my games are basically the opposite of speed runs, I just pick everything up and read a blessed scroll of identify. But that takes 940 turns! which seems ridiculous. Do you just pick up items that cost over a million gold (plus, say, spellbooks if you're a wizard, or potions that you might want or haven't identified)? I tried to do that once using a rule of "pick up if over 800k"...but there aren't commas in the prices. And 84923 actually looks a lot like 824049. So checking each price to decide what to walk over to and pick up actually took much more real-world time than the 940 turn approach.

Use auto-pickup on everything - those count as a single turn last time I checked.

How can it take that many turns?
I grab all stuff that isnt food (and skip some other things too).
ID all and drop, then use Ctrl-p to pickup the select items I'm interested in and move those to a new pile.

But I havent thought about amount of turns, maybe your right, it is a lot of items to pick up.
Not that it matters to me, I'm not turn hunting.

As for items, don't recall the best but sometimes you get those extremely good casino drops, and with all the items it's atleast as rare to have a really bland casino.

The shop is 34x14, so around 476 items and double that number of turns if you're picking up every single item without using autopickup. However, you're getting pretty good value out of turns spent in the casino shop, so it's probably only worth cutting if you're making quite serious speedrun attempts (sub 10-20k turns). There's plenty of stuff that would make sense to skip first, such as Tomb of the High Kings or Ice Queen.
