Hi,


I have about a dozen wins as dwarf barbarian, this is the first time I've ever won playing a different race/class. Adom 1.2.0.

A major factor in my win was probably an insanely lucky pool-draining early in the game: two wishes (girdle of giant strength and amulet of life saving), see invisible and some other useful traits.

I thought the mana temple would be very hard/impossible for a spellcaster, but no. I had an emperor berserker companion with me who helped a bit, and by that stage I also had good stats and axe-skills. Not to mention the girdle of giant strength - very useful for a small gnome.

ToEF was no problem at all with frost bolt. Magic missile turned out to be a very powerful spell that took care of a LOT of dangerous monsters. Don't think I had any really near death moments at all, guess it was just a very lucky game. Only thing missing is sting - I forgot or dropped needle somewhere so I didn't bother with the assassins after closing the gate.
