Not in Coward tactic? Only one divine intervention as a messiah of Onn? Didn't you give up to easily?
I had a goddamned Doppleganger King in the Big Room once.
And I even SURVIVED that arsehole.
The character went on to win the game and get killed in the Rift while having some fun before leaving the chain.
Guess what killed him.
ADOM Guides - whatever you wanted to know about playing a certain class, but have been afraid to ask!
Check out my youtube channel to see my ADOM videos, including a completed playthrough of the game. I try to give instructions, so if you want to see some place you haven't been before and get some hints on how to deal with it, this might help! There's also some other games featured there that you might find interesting.
True, Ars. Thank you for reminding me. Anyway, final line - this character should have not died. So how did it happen??
Rofl @ Silfir.
▼ All their fault. ▼
How did you even manage to die with a mindcrafter? They're the best class for handling dopplegangers.
That was a DOPPELGANGER *KING*. Have you EVER heard of those? They are your PC's copies - they have the same speed, stats and melee damage, except higher because they get generated in deep dungeon levels and thus get extra boost for being high level. The regular DPs are easy and safe.
No you would have not. Except if you had seven league boots.Originally Posted by Sradac

You hit Andor Drakon, the ElDeR cHaOs GoD, and severely wound him.
The greater balor summons some help!
The ratling duelist disarms you. You drop your blessed Trident of the Red Rooster (+36, 6d12+18) [+12, +12]. It flies to the west.
Andor Drakon, the ElDeR cHaOs GoD, picks up the blessed Trident of the Red Rooster (+36, 6d12+18) [+12, +12].

I know dp kings, they're annoying with a meele character but a mindcrafter can go coward, put up mental shield, confuse him (or are they immune to that?) and spam telekinetic blast (with those stats it would deal ((26 / 5) + 20) * 2 = 50.4 damage on averange so 5 hits would be enough. Unless he was killed on the same turn he opened the door or sth :P
I guess he would have done just that if he had payed more attention. Overconfidence is one of the potentially fatal dangers in ADoM.
Looks like it killed him in one turn. He didn't have enough time to use aby PP.

With DV at 48 I presume he was on Very Aggressive tactics. Meaning he tried to melee the doppelganger king. Without even confusing it first (yes, they can be confused quite easily). Of course this is the place for "stupid deaths"...
