Also, having a maggot sprout from the PC's skin -- as per one of the new corruptions -- can damage him/her. Haven't yet witnessed any PCs die from this, though.

Well. I don't think this one is new to 1.2.0. Did a search and couldn't find it though.

That one was already in 1.1.1. You can be transformed into a -foo- if a stat-draining hit reduces an attribute and kills you? Don't recall the specific criteria, but I do remember it can make you switch genders, as one of my very early PCs was transformed into a female vampire and...

I don't see why we should wait. All new deaths are present in 1.2p5 which is free for everyone.

122) Killed by equipped metal item(s) as a mist elf.
123) Killed by a maggot erupting from skin (maggot corruption)
124) Killed after converting from C as a chaos knight.

Don't know about the last one, but witnessed first two (maggot one deliberately).

And speaking about #38 - list of guys (all confirmed by me during testing) who turn the PC into one of them upon draining the last To/St:

slow shadow
spectre/wight/vampire/wraith
