Post newb question, where can I find a guide?

Where can I find a guide to skills and talents, and what they REALLY do for me in the game?

    Hey, welcome to the forums.
Easy answer, just read the manual that comes with the game. It has all of the skills listed, and all of the talents and their effects. If that's not enough for you, and you don't mind the risk of spoiling different elements of the game to yourself, try out Andy Williams' Guidebook at http://www.andywlms.com/adom/adomgb-toc.html

I posted something of a 'guide to skills' in the HoF forums, a while' back.
It's under the title 'sell your skills', and is mainly for entertainment. It
might be informative as well. As for s better guide on skills, there is a
'bard guide' floating around, that has a very good review of each skill
    in the game.
"Whip me!" pleads the adom player. The rng replies... "No."

I would LOVE to, unfortunately his site isn't loading.
However, I'm pretty sure the WAY BACK MACHINE
will make quick work of this.
