I've never bothered to figure out exactly what ADOM does with room boundary effects, so I'm not sure the original pattern would have survived. Have the edge effects been worked out?

Using the T-shape, you can get an r pentomino in one generation.
Code:..... ..".. ..".. .""". -> .""". -> .""". ..".. .""". .xx".
EDIT:
I see the problem was you trimmed the T block the wrong way too close to the bottom wall. This can also be fixed in one generation.

That's the point I was making. It would have worked out fine in
any configuration except the one in which I put it.
works fine, as doesCode:" """ "
andCode:" "" "
andCode:" "" "
and evenCode:""" "
would have been better thanCode:" ""
because this won't replenish itself.Code:" " " " " "
One successful holy water pouring will fix it though, so it's
not a total loss. On a side note, I really don't care very much
for the R-pentomino. Its growth is not symetrical and orderly,
like the standard
is. You just have to make sure it isn't up against the wallCode:" """
in that one certain way, but that goes for the pentomino
as well.

More pages up for the barbarian.

Why didn't you convert
intoCode:" " " " " "
if you wanted it to replenish?Code:" " "
will do that for you.Code:" " x x or " " " " x x " "
I don't think the links to the .cnt and .cfg files are working right now, at least not for me. I get the 404-triggered ad instead...
ADOM Guides - whatever you wanted to know about playing a certain class, but have been afraid to ask!
Check out my youtube channel to see my ADOM videos, including a completed playthrough of the game. I try to give instructions, so if you want to see some place you haven't been before and get some hints on how to deal with it, this might help! There's also some other games featured there that you might find interesting.
Why didn't you convert
intoCode:" " " " " "
At that point, I wanted explosions, not simple replenishment.Code:" " "
I will quickly see about getting the files linked properly.
EDIT: Got 'em.

A piece of criticism on the actual website, you should include a link to page 1 as well as 2-48. Not that I really want to see character creation again, but just for completeness.

Gut - For a few days now, after reading your wizard guide (which I thoroughly enjoyed), I've been scouring brinkster HOF, RGRA, and these forums for info on that archmage 'just a scratch of poison' part - you mentioned that all you need is a scratch to poison him, and you can out-wait the archmage, but then when you finally manage to poison him, you don't out-wait him, you bash his skull to a pulp...
What's the poison part about? Does he never recover from poison? or does he try to heal himself every turn instead of casting deathray?
Basically, what's so good about poisoning the archmage?
