Thank you for stating my opinion.

What'd that be? Scumming in every way possible, bar the save kind?

How about a Guts Man challenge? I don't know that you could find enough large boulders though...

A gut man challenge means completing the game without using any
skills. Note that I believe a "gut man challenge" was actually a
joke, not an actual challenge game idea.

Out of curiosity, do weapon skills count, or auto-activating ones?

Gut man challenge: Scum in every way except save and treasure hunter. Wait... TH is a scum method? Oh well. No treasure hunter for you. Get lots of PV talents also. Hmm... Name any enemy you really feel like beating up "Grey"... What else?

    > What'd that be? Scumming in every way possible,

    Oh, you funny 5 posters!

For the record, I'll list the scummy things rarely if ever do.
Pickpocket, exploit gremlins, pray with spellcasters, smith,
obtain casino gold, wish engine, piety abuse, shoot missiles
past monsters, dragon gold double, turn bug, kick rob,
kill marathons in cavernous levels, and hordes more I'm
    just not remembering.

Read some of my > 1 year old victory posts from the brinkster
hall of fame. You will see that most of the 'scummy' strategies
I'm now sharing were unused and even unknown to me then.
I (and others) developed 'scummy' strategies for speedruns
mainly, but they can save time for anyone who is impatient.

The 'gutman' challenge was originally and jokingly defined by
Maul. It was part of the 'sell your skills' piece that I wrote.
"Whip me!" pleads the adom player. The rng replies... "No."

    I try, gut. I try.

    And I don't always succeed, I admit.

Some nice tricks you have there, though. Better try them out sometime.

EDIT: Got a chance for herb farming just now. My god, is it easy or what...

Supposedly doing this wins games? I'll see. But it's fun to have indefinite food for sure, not to mention the veeery easily trained stats.

2nd EDIT: Oh, my. Crowned already, with Death's Blade as a Barbarian though. Supposedly not the best one I could've gotten? No matter. Still an upgrade from an Orcish Spear :-P
