I have both my microphones in working order finally, so I'm beginning to record a let's play of a dark elven beastfighter - both powerful enough that I won't get completely boned, and interesting enough that it won't be boring to watch. Currently he's leaving the HMV at level 13, with only halfway decent equipment overall but two insanely nice (non-artifact) items. Time to dive to Dwarftown for Literacy, since dark sages have been uncooperative.
This may or may not work for anyone else, but I've decided to record my audio separately, as kind of a commentary on how the game went after I've finished. It won't capture the raw intensity of some other let's plays (look up the I Wanna Be The Guy ones on youtube sometime, they're full of people screaming incoherently at the game - it's even less forgiving than ADOM), but it'll help me give strategic commentary (hellooooo rewind function) and more importantly, poke fun at my mistakes with the benefit of hindsight. It also means that if I stutter a syllable or say the wrong word or something, I can just go back and do it again, and not have to deal with being LESS THAN PERFECT.
EDIT: fuckfuckfuckfuck I accidentally cancelled the encoding of a rather long segment. Oh well, nothing serious happened during it anyway.
