Corpses retain their source creature's alignment. I am not familiar with the Hurthling god names, but I'm assuming you were offering that cooked corpse to the N god.
I said it before, and I'll say it again. If I knew scripture like you, I'd prolly be an athiest too.. -gut

I was unlucky enough to fight a cat in the arena.
Fortunately i have a cursed trap creation wand.
I create a water trap... Recharge-- i create a teleport trap!
And got this message:
"The wild cat moves into the teleportation trap. The wild cat suddenly disappears!
The audience boos and throws vegetables.Suddenly you are teleported back to the entrance of the arena.
Good fight! You have earned...."
Hilarious! Audience throwing vegies on teleporting cat
