"You hear the cries of the crowd. 'Bill Clinton!'"
Naming yourself bill clinton is awesome.

The RNG is the source of chaos and corruption.

"LOL" is a surprisingly funny name to give yourself. Leads to shopkeepers always saying "Have a nice expedition, LOL!"

My vote goes to 'Greyslayer' as the all time best PC name,
followed closely by 'gutfucker', but that's just for the sake
of comedy.
"Whip me!" pleads the adom player. The rng replies... "No."
The more I think about it, my next bard is definitely going to be named "FREEBIRD!"
Code:You hear the cries of the crowd. "FREEBIRD!" You play a tune on your lute.
You hear the cries of the crowd: "Freebird!! Freebird!! Freebird!!"
You play some tunes on your lute.
It's not quite the same as what you guys are talking about, but I recently discovered a new burden status (at least new to me): I had a character who dragon doubled a pile of gold up to something like 60 million. The RNG made sure that I made it about 20 steps before a lightening lizard lit up my girdle (from off the screen) and left me Crushed!, but not dead. I've been killed before when this happends but I had never seen Crushed! before. Thought it was pretty cool. I didn't even take any damage from it. I dropped some gold to get to Overburdened! and then Strained! etc.
I have seen Crushed! before, but only in the VLG files generated on death. I've never been given time to drop stuff before dying.
I think I've got crushed recently while wearing an AoLS - it saved my character and I had a turn while being Crushed! to drop stuff. Maybe more than a turn, but didn't risk checking that
It definitely gave me time to drop stuff. The character lived to fight another day before dying in some similarly stupid way.
