Hi all!

I've been playing for several years now, and this is my first win! I had already visited D50, but died there due to a lack of corruption cleaners.

This time, I rolled a candle-borned female GE barbarian; I wanted to make her learn a few spells.
After burning myself and my equipment several times trying, I gave up this idea.

Anyway, I started going straight to the puppy, which I saved from an horrible death. However it died on the first step in the cavern on the level 5 of puppy cave. The quest is not written in the flg, so I probably didn't comfort the little girl afterwards. I don't know why. I was lucky enough in that caves to find 7lbs.

I skipped the druid quest, being quite weak in the beginning of the game, and went exploring the CoC. Nothing to report until Dwarf Town. I bumped on a cat by mistake, then killed every one of them on purpose afterward.

Thrundaar's first quest was a chaos lizard. I lost a few hundred turns with a giant lizard and a wand of trap creation in the big room to paint it purple. It stepped on it dozens of times without any effect, and I then killed it by frustation. Now everything is purple in that big room, and I start to bleive that it was just my lizard that was highly resistant... I had my 7lbs destroyed somewhere in the process.

So I decided to skip that quest also, and went to pyramid; found a living wall there and fled to preserve my low strength (15 I think). I cleaned the dwarven graveyard, no problem there (thanks to trap detection!). Ate some corpses to boost my toughness, and didn't kill the dwarven knight, using holy water instead. I didn't have any digging implement so skipped the sword.

Not knowing what to do, I first killed Keethraxx and then descended the small cave and UD to find that chaos lizard. It was no there either, but I found some herbs.

I didn't have any better weapon than a mithril spear there, so raided Darkforge with a wand of teleportation and found a halberd of defense, which was a huge improvement. I also picked up a plate mail of carrying, which I used until the Casino.

I went to obtain the RotHK, and was quite afraid of meleeing the skeletal king. Anyway it died with only two or three arrows of undead slaying. I eventually found my chaos lizard on my way back and killed with my best smile! Finished the pyramid on my way back to CoC

Found a sword of sharpness finishing the other dwarven quests, and used it for quite a time. I got crowned just after saccing the gold from Big Punch, with lighting immunity and Grod. I didn't want to use that weapon first, my DV dropping to something like 15 while wielding it.

I however decided to give it a try in the Water temple. I think that killing the snake of beyond in one huge blow helped me change my mind.

ToEF was really easy; I found the stairs really rapidly, casted darkness from wand to kill the elementals and killed the ACW in only one huge hit. I got my first corruption there: the very light one which made me overburdened just near the ACW.

I found the robes of resistance and crown of leadership in the casino, with a RoDS (used for SoCR). Got the weird tome for SoCR, without cleaning the library; a wand of monster detection show me a grey L, I didn't want to walk there.

I got a surge of power in the bunnies level, but couldn't reach it: a black wizard summoned som disarming monsters, I lost Grod in the melee and didn't see it. I hitted a few bunnies bare handed, and by the time I realised it, there hundred of them. I had to use all my potions of extra healing and a few charges of various wands to leave that level.

I skipped the Cat Lord, and forgot to kill it afterward. Both the air and earth levels were really easy; I felt really overpowered at that time, meleeing molochs without any damage incurred.

I didn't have too much of a hard time in the mana level, even if I had to pray once. My archery's skills were nt sufficient to kill the Archmage from a distance, so I had to melee it.

I was dumb enough to shoot my potion of useleness on a wall on D49, resulting in a great frustation! I however didn't really need any other artifacts, at the exception may of the bracers of war (I didn't find lots of bracers in that game, and all of them got destroyed).

I started bashing monsters quite happily in D50 (digging the walls to access the levers). It took me a few hundred of turns and a few corruptions to realise that I was in coward tactic, so stupid.

Anyway, some ants had decided to destroy the walls between the center room and the levers, so I had to fight almost everything.

I had only one arrow of demon slaying and less than ten of humanoid slaying, so I meleed almost everyting, resulting in the use of all my 8 SoCR. That wasn't that hard anyway, except that I didn't have any healing method left, and praid a few times here (despite my high regeneration rate).
