I haven't played spellcasters in ages, so rolled gnomish wizard. Set self-imposed restrictions of: (no mundane)missiles and no shields. Theses were upheld, except in the PC where I used a [+1,+1] shield for some time. Got stuck between two fire resistant monsters with only fire bolt and burning hands.

Started with spellbook of invisibility. Swiped some stuff from barnabas with it. Got the blanket and went on to rescue the puppy. Potion shop in PC:2; nice. PC:3 wand shop ; great! Book shop in PC:4 ; Seriously? Some characters don't find three random shops in entire game, now 3 in 5 levels? Ok, you just used your luck for the entire game. Got in time to the last level, but someone killed the puppy.

Through UD, nothing. Quick visit in DT, then went to raid DF. Mystic was stingy and didn't give SoCRs. After killing one steel golem decided to go to pyramid instead(now lvl 13). After that came back and cleared 2/3 of DF. Had only Ice ball and about 100hp and sucky DV/PV, but somehow managed. No good armors, but got staff of smiting which I used to raise some skill in staves. Dwarven GY was next stop, then DD and ToHK. Quick stop at ToEF on the way back to get Thundarr's first quest monster: fire drake. Went to get water orb and watched khelly die.

Fire temple turned out ok, despite my concerns. Used mostly Ice ball to kill ACW and he was hurting me kinda bad after going berserk. Luckily he panicked right after. Got enough levels to go to MM. Used magic map and teleport and some scrolls. Wandered around quite some time, visited at least half a dozen false levels. The emperor got a jump on me which hurt a lot. Retreated a bit to create some webs. He got stuck and flailed helplessly as magic missiles were bouncing back and forth through him.

Stayed away from the slots. Robbed the casino, which had robes of resistance. Tried to kill the shopkeeper but gave up(for now). Killed bunch of guards and left. Black dragon vault had silvery arrow. Quick trip on the surface to get crowned, got staff of the archmagi. Found greater undead vault, left it alone(for now). D:45 greater vault of fire creatures. Had Vanquisher, Boots of the Divine messenger, Lust for Glory and Black tome of Alsophocus. Got 3 levels from killing the great red wyrm.

Mana temple was less icky than I remembered, thanks to new scrolls of power. Acid balled them all down. On the way to surface did earth and air temples as well. Used the mana orb in earth temple. Preserved corpses with wizard cooking. The incentive was recipe for PoGA, PoCC and stomafillia herb. Killed the greater black unicorn and made Blup very happy. Noticed the Far Slayer in water dragon cave, but didn't bother.

Got Skullcrusher as uselessness gift. Spammed magic missile on D:50 like there was no tomorrow. Already killed half of the balors and most of the chaos wizards; handled the levers. Prayed for PP quite recently, which leads us to the moment of the screenshot...

Not my first death like this. When I noticed my mistake, all I could do was laugh.
