By the way, hello all - long time lurker, first time poster here.
It finally happened. After playing on and off for about 13 years, I managed my first win! I had a few close attempts prior to this barb, but he was the one that finally managed to get all the way down to D:50 at last and close that damn gate whose background corruption gave so many PCs of the past stiffened muscles and poisoned hands.
After winning I decided to pinch something from the casino on the way back up, but the shopkeeper had other plans for me. But it doesn't even matter, because I finally DID IT.
Not that I'm planning on stopping, of course...after all, there's the Ultra(s) to work on now...
