Perception modifiers
Corruptions modify perception oddly

I've now had twice the Mists of chaos corruption which should cause Pe-10, but the actual modifier was -11. (Dunno if it's even bigger, since both times -11 was enough to drop it to 1.)

Also, now I have both Mists of chaos and the Unified eye corruptions, and the total modifier should be -6, but it is -12 and again dropping me to Pe:1. Is the Mists of chaos modifier a lot bigger than it actually states?

It actually was -12 instead of -10 as described. And BTW, the "cyclops" effect only grants a perception bonus if you are not wearing a helmet - a helmet made for two-eyed beings negates that bonus ;-)

Really? I thought helmets usually have a single slit or a barred visor, not two individual eye holes.

(BTW, if you have both Cyclops and Extra eyes, and you lose Extra eyes, will you get messages "10 out of your 11 eyes disappeared" or "10 out of your 12 eyes"? :)

Hm, depends on a helmet type, apparently...

And how about metal caps? How can they make a problem for a big eye?

Does anyone know if this happens when wearing caps or crowns?

As far as I know it does. Caps pose no problem if you ask me - some caps had nose guards. But crowns should not offset the bonus. Looks like it's time for another RFE.

It may be the type of crown the Witch King wore in the LoTR movies :P

In any case, cyclopses could drop special helmets that would give Pe bonuses to cyclopia-afflicted :)
